In answer to your question I don't know. However about three years ago I got a little black kitten, rescued actually. Any way he was solid black, beautiful. when he was about 5 months we noticed he was getting white hairs all over him. By the time he was 6-7 months he was about 2/3 black and 1/3 white mixed all through, still beautiful. By the time he was a year old he was solid black again. Still is. He has never been sick and has had premium quality food since we got him. Strange, hu?

This could be from the sun, or not getting enough sunlight. I know that if goldfish are left in a dark room for a long time, they turn white

I don't have a golden, but my grandfather did and my aunt did too and I remember as they aged that their fur lightened up.
I don't know, you could ask your vet.
They are great dogs. They love kids.

Lol, he's fine. He may just be a cream, or white golden retriever. He just doesn't have the golden color that most golden retrievers have.

It's because she is getting older
