I planned a trip without my g/f and I don't know how to tell her. I am going to a place called Caye Caulker . It is a little island off of the coast of Belize in Central America. We have gone there together a few times but I want to go there without her this timei how do I tell her and do you feel this wrong ??I had no objection when she went on 2 vacations in the past with her girl friends. I need help because I have a feeling that this is going to get me locked out of the bedroom for some time. If anyone can come up with anything it would be much appreciated.

well, that's a serious question! Kudos to you for having what it takes to plan a vacation on your own. Everyone needs some down time, apparently she has had hers. Now it's your turn, but reassure her that your relationship will be rejuvenated when you return. She should consider herself very blessed to be involved with someone who has taken her to Belize in the first place! If you have been involved with her for any length of time she should understand you and your motives and be supportive, even if it's difficult for her.

On the other hand, knowing you well may be the very reason she would lock you out of the bedroom!

Well you need to ask yourself Why you want to go on this vacation without her. If you are going with bad intentions then you deserve to be locked out of the bedroom but if you just need sometime by yourself talk to he and tell her that. Make sure that she understands that you love her and make her feel secure so she doesn't think that you are going to be messing around on her. If she can't understand that you need sometime by yourself then maybe you need to reconsider your relationship with her.

When she went without you, did you tell her you wanted to go? If so, you have the moral right to do the same thing and go without her this time.

However, when she went there, if you really didn't care about going with her, then this time you don't have the right to not want her to go with you.

Especially in a country where many men travel to find prostitutes.

Just tell her, if she trusts you, she really shouldn't have any problem. Except that you planned it without telling her earlier. Most of the time, we as in g/f worry, that well, you'll be partying and find another girl or even cheat, but if your realtionship is strong, then you shouldn't have a problem.

your going to have to tell her strait forword. if she really cares about u then she will understand that u need some alone time. dont be away to long and tell her you'll call her everyday or mail her or email her or something. u have to stay in contact. make sure she knows everything about your trip and the whole 9yards.

I have never left my husband for more than one night. I'd miss him too much. She has already been on two vacations, if she gets hostile bring up the double standard.

Just tell her. I don't think its wrong unless you are planning on doing something stupid. I mean take lots of pictures to show her that you had fun but didn't do anything stupid.

Just tell her. If you do, and she is mad or leaves you, then that's the way it has to be if this is something you want to do. If she stays with you, then you guys will work. If it is that YOU are going to haul off and do this, then you are lucky if she stays with you.
