I have the plastic kind that have a liquid liner so that you freeze it and it keeps the beverage cold. BUT we don't like the taste of plastic. Is there a type made of glass that has the same feature of a liquid freezable layer?

OKAy I saw those sports ones that say "Crystal". But does that just mean the crystals that freeze? No where did it say it was made of glass. There are others that actually say Crystal Acrylic.

Does anyone actually HAVE a glass one so I know for sure?

Yes, I have an all glass one that I keep in the freezer.
Because it's quite thick you don't need the liquid freezable stuff. I have noticed that I get ice crystals in the pour and they usually stay until I'm about 2/3 done.

It's a 12+ ounce traditional style beer mug that is just very, very thick. It's octagonal in shape with sides of 1/4" thick glass. The base is 1/2" at it's thinnest point and domes.
It should probably be registered as a lethal weapon.

I just checked it for a manufacturers mark, but there isn't one.
It's most likely a commercially made mug that I picked up at a restaurant supply shop...sorry I can't remember but I have more mugs than I can count. I would check with a local restaurant or bar supply place, you should be able to pick up a couple for around $4-5 each.

Cheers.
