because of the mosquito lava,it would kill them.

When the rains do come to Africa they tend to be heavy and those rivers overflow and have killed people living nearby. When the rivers are not overflowing they are a breeding ground for mosquitos which carry malaria.

Because they live in tribes and many of those tribes have been where they are fpr hundreds of year. They are also where they are at tp be close to a suppply of food. They live off the land and where the rivers are may not always be the best place to go.

There is always someone else who has made a prior claim to the river. In other words, someone else thinks that they already own it, and they will either stop the others from coming, or make them pay.

Because it is the government making them starve not lack of resources, plus you can't drink river water, it will kill you faster than starvation.
