She will come into heat just a little while after having the kittens, like hours, she is probably already pregnant again, if she got outside at all. Have her spayed immediatly. If she is pregnant and you want to save the kittens ( not necessary, they can spay her while she is pregnant, but it will cost a little more.) spay her when the kittens are 3 weeks old. They will be able to live without mama for a day, and she will not have been able to get pregnant again, if you keep her strictly in the house.
Please spay her, help control the pet population. There are so many cats killed in shelters just because there are not enough homes for them.
If you can't pay, call animal control, they have programs to help.
You can tell the kittens apart at about 4 weeks, the boys will have little lumps under their tails near their butts. Girls don't have lumps.

When she starts actin' like a b!^@# in heat!
Kittens...about 6 weeks you should be able to tell.
Personally, I always guess kittens wrong. Humans are much easier to tell apart!

As soon as you look between it's legs.
Please get the female spayed. MILLIONS of cats (and dogs) die every year from over breeding. Do you know there are 45 cats born to every 1 human. Most of the cats born will never get a home.

A cat can get pregnant while she's still nursing her kittens....so you really have to be careful about this or you'll get overrun with cats......best of luck to you..........
