sometimes when my kid poops while napping shell wake up and kinda finger paint with it on the wall....is this normal behavior for a almost 3 yr old ? does anybody elses kids do this ?

my baby cousin, and no it is not normal. get them something else that is mushy to play with like playdough

My son did the same thing when he was about 18 months old. I told him "no, no, no". That was the end of that problem. I think it's normal for a very young child to try, but not a good thing to let them continue.

My brothers or sisters don't do that but he does love to look at it. We have to take trips to the yard to look at the dogs. She doesn't know that it's poop and doesn't think its nasty. She's pretty much coloring on the walls with it because she doesn't have crayons or makers. Thats my best guess.

My son was about two and he did it a few times and it drove me crazy!!! He is 4 now and completely normal. I put a wet wipe on his hand and made him help me clean it up, the whole time telling him where poopoo goes and that this is so so so yucky!

I worked at a daycare for a long time and we had a two year old girl that would do it all the time. Yes its disgusting but at least you know your child isn't the only one doing it.

3 years old seems a bit old not to be potty trained, at least to me. Both my sons (now both teenagers, so admittedly it's been a long time since I've dealt with this) were both potty-trained by three, so they never did do this.

i don't know if this is normal but my little sister (R.I.P.) used to do that when she was between the ages of 2 and 4...she would also smear it on the bars of the crib and the sheets too....gross and weird...we never talked to a doctor about it but i think you should....good luck

When our youngest was 2 or so, he actually put the entire contents of his diaper in the playstation & we had to trash it. I think they all go through a phase like that.

dont worry she probebly doesnt know that its dirty and wrong but i know some kids who are 4 to 7 yrs old and make poo castles and draw on walls with it!!!!!!you have to be worried if it carries on till an older age or if she puts it near her mouth....SOLUTION you shouldnt leave her dirty for too long anyway.
