I had laser surgery 7 years ago, and my eyes were only sensitive for a few weeks. I have had many "pops" to the eyes, cause I am a complete klutz, and I can honestly say that I am not, nor have I ever been, blind or sight disabled, or anything, lol.
Its REALLY safe, to get laser surgery on your eyes. I was clinically blind before, (20/800) and now I have better than perfect vision at 20/13.
Only superman can see better than I can.. oh and God, lol.
Ask alot of questions about the surgery first. there is a moment that you cant see during surgery, and it might freak you out. Its also not painless, if you have a low tolerance for discomfort. Its a little uncomfortable, or at least it was for me, and my good friend.
Still, keep in mind, its not THAT bad, and I would never go back to my old vision status, period. I reccommend it to everyone.
Good luck!!!

All laser eye treatments essentially do the same thing: they use extremely precise lasers to reshape the cornea. This subtly changes the way light enters the eye, to ensure clear, sharp vision. When performed by expert surgeons like ours, laser eye surgery is safe, quick and painless. It takes just 15 – 20 minutes, and the vast majority of patients are ready to return to work within 24 hours.

With or without laser eye surgery, a good pop to the eye from anything can blind you or do grave damage. It's an eye, for heavens sake...not a punching bag.

Eye's rarely rupture with a "good pop" whether they've had laser surgery or not. There are some complications but it's a very safe procedure. Poor visual outcome is the only somewhat common adverse outcome.

I don't know but I heard it's risky, you never know down the road when you get older like 50,60,70,80 etc if you're going to have a good vision or ANY vision at all. This is a new technology ,they can't guarantee you nothing.
It's ironic that those doctores who operate your eyes still have glasses/contact lenses and won't go through the laser surgery procedure heheh.
Oh check this site ,it's informative http://www.allaboutvision.com

Is LASER VISION CORRECTION safe?
Any kind of surgery carries some potential risk, but with LASER VISION CORRECTION surgery, there is a remarkably low rate of complications. Unlike the older, non-laser procedure known as RK, the computer-controlled VISX "excimer" laser does not weaken the eye.

Just like with any surgery, for several months afterwards that portion of your body is not a strong as normal and more at risk for injury.
Also, you have an Astigmatism. Many people get confused without seeing the word. All this means is that different portions of your eye need different prescriptions instead of one uniform number.

I don't know about that. I heard that if you have astigmatism, the Lasik Surgery doesn't work as well. You would need to talk to your eye care professional and find out what they think.

May be. But something is better than nothing. This is the latest method and less expensive. If someone cant see any thing then it is better to take a chance to get the eyesight.
