How big is Salt Lake City SLC airport?

It depends on what you consider big. Im from and worked in the Atlanta airport for Delta and to me SLC is not big. But if you are coming from a small airport like Billings, MT then yeah its big. Ive provided the link with a copy of the map and lay out of the airport. Size is all relative to what you are used to. For me, SLC isnt that big. It is a Hub for Delta, so it's size is larger by comparison, but there are much larger airports.

Not terribly big unless you're walking from the end of Concourse A to the end of concourse E. Delta uses concourses C,D and E. American, United,Jetblue,Southwest, etc. use concourses A and B. Terminal 1 goes directly to A & B while Terminal 2 leads to concourse C. There are moving sidewalks connecting the longest walks between concourses, and it's setup kind of like a funky horseshoe with the concourses jutting out from the horseshoe. Security can be up to 45 min long at peak hours and flight doors normally close approx 10 min prior to departure so leave yourself at least 1 1/2 hours to get to your gate if you pre-check-in on your computer, otherwise add 20 min for the computerized check-in and 30-45 min for the line to the counter.

Salt Lake City is the third-largest hub for Delta Air Lines. It is ranked in the top ten US airports for on-time performance by the Department of Transportation. The airport has four runways 16L/34R (12,000ft / 3,600m), 16R/34L (12,000ft / 3,600m), 17/35 (9,500ft / 2,900m) and 14/32 (4,900ft / 1,490m) paved in asphalt and concrete.
The airport is being redeveloped and modernised under a terminal redevelopment project and is expected to be completed by 2026.

There's two terminals, 4 sets of 18 or so gates. I'd say it's a medium-sized airport.
