My dog is an indoor/outdoor dog. He spends most of his time inside, but we're always on the go, so he's outside a lot too. He gets a full bath with shampoo and conditioning treatment once a month at the groomer.

If he get dirty in between grooming appointments, which he often does since we do agility once a week, I just put him in the shower with me and rinse him with clear, warm water for about 10 minutes. Just rinsing him with the water gets him clean.

Whenever you shampoo your dog, make sure to rinse using clean water for at least 10 minutes. Any residue from the shampoo or conditioner on the skin can be irritating, which can cause your dog to itch.

I have an indoor dog and I give her a bath about every 3-4days with a oatmeal shampoo. I also have a outdoor dog and she gets a bath about every other day. Hope this helps.

Use caution about over-bathing your dogs. They have natural oils in their skin which are removed when you shampoo them. This can lead to dry skin & infections. Bathing your dog monthly should be adequate (especially for an indoor dog). You don't want to damage an outdoor dog's natural ability to fend off pests by depleating these oils.
Be careful of which shampoos you use, too. Most human shampoo is too harsh for pets.

I have 3 indoor dogs with all different hair..My mutt goes to the groomer 1 time a month- his hair grows insanely..My Beagle goes once every 6 months- he is the cleanest dog I have ever owned..And my litttle Carin she need a bath every 2 weeks - she is a pig pen..
So it depens if they are indoor or out- are they naturally messy- and their hair//
Hope this helps..

do these people know what they are saying!!! No there's is no difference.....indoor may be less dirty, that's all...and you should only give your dog a bath between 3 to 4 weeks apart...why? Because it will dry there skin and they become very uncomfortable.....dogs have different skin type then us...it is not nessessary trust me.call a pet groomer to varify

I bathe my indoor dogs once a week with a good quality shampoo....but then I've been accused of spoiling my dogs rotten so I might not be the best barometer out there. :)

i suppose there is since an outdoor dog live outside where there is dirt and lots of other stuff.so i suppose you would have to bath an outside dog more often than an indoor dog.

i bath my lab once every other week. (he is an outside dog.)

hope this helps!

Not really. If your dog typically has very oily skin I'd bathe them once every 2 months. Usually every 3 months or so is ok

i just give my dogs a bath when they need it. it could be a week or a couple months, it all depens on the weather and what they've been doing. they tend to get more baths in the summer than in the winter though.
