You can buy an external Hard Drive. Buy an expensive on line storage system not recommended for 7GB.

You can also buy an external or internal DVD burning and backup that way. That's what I recommend. But 7GB can be backed with Cd's as well.

There are other ways like flash drives but that will also get expensive. I would buy a external DVD drive and a package of 50 discs. Total with tax should not be over $220 plus you now burn DVDs!

Hello dear, I want to answer your question and I hope my answer can be useful for you. The first question is what do you exactly want to backup? if you want to backup your hard drive there's so many ways to do this some ways are:
1- example writing your hard drive files and datas to DVDs or CDs on a exact periods of time. Note: if you have a CD-RW and not a DVD-RW you can write your files to many CDs it is very simple. You can use even Nero Burning Rom.
2- Use a software like Norton Go Back. This program saves your data to an Image file and if you want restores them. Note that there are two versions of this program. you must use the personal version.
3-Use RAID Hard Drive. For this way you must have more that one hard drive and get help from a professional.

I hope this ways was helpful for you.
Special hopes.
Bye.

just burned the files onto multiple cds. You would not need a DVD player to backup your computer, you probably mean DVD burner though, that would be very helpful, but it not necessarily necessary. Just make sure the individual compressed folders are small enough to fit on a single CD, and burn multiple CDs.

that's a lot of data for CDs on a regular basis. For less than $100 you can get a DVD writer, that does 4 GB at a time. The guy even put mine in for no extra charge for me.

use the 7 CDs.

Some newer programs, like the lastest Roxio CD Creator have an ARCHIVE feature, where it will ADD to your backup set and use only ONE more CD each time. LOOK INTO IT.

get an external hard drive. That would be easiest. Or you could by about ten 700/800 MB CD-RW's and back up onto those.

You could try to email it to yourself or friends in parts. Then when you get enough CD's burn all of it on the CD's.
