According to the Bible each person that has asked God into their heart are temples of God and Jesus tells us that where ever two or more people are gathered together in God's name that is a church. God has never told believers to build these multimillion dollar churches. God would rather that the tithes he asks of us be used to help other people to find God and to provide food and clothing for the poor and helpless.

God blesses us w/ jobs, etc. What's wrong with giving 10% back 2 God and as a lesson in sharing.? We do use the other 90% as our own. By the way, the runnings of the churches; the church's bill-paying; helping others, etc. r from the tithes & offerings.
Happy Sabbath.

Maybe this true story will help....The minister's wife and I sat on the same committee for a group of CareRing that drove to take people to appointments and shopping and befriended some lovely people. It was all given and no charge was laid to the people who needed the help.
The group had one expense. They had a phone to record the time and help of those in need. Each month when the phone bill was due I remember the minister's wife say..The Lord Will Provide! I thought it bit airy fairy to have such an attitude...but He did provide...money would come to pay the bill.
This story with variations is written in an old book...The Priest and the Switchblade about a group in New York City.

The house of God is your body!
We are the temple in which Gods resides.
Ja, I know - we are not treating our body's that way -
because Christian teaching says that the churches we built
are the houses in which God lives and you all have
to come and visit and pay up, so the rest of us
(priest, ministers, bishops, cardinals the pope)
can live of the little guy and scare us all into coming back for more lies.
Did Jesus go to church - no he went to the people
and spread his message
He did not make anyone pay to hear him.
You can pray and just talk to God anywhere and anytime.
And you say (quietly or in your thoughts) what ever you want.
Even if you are angry.

Ok since many people rent houses and apartments..........
why don't the people who own those pay the bills instead of those living there?
He does. It is called the ten percent (minimum) tithe and offerings we give back to God for paying us through our employers.

We give a little back of what is his anyway. Plus, we are building up the kingdom and are given a chance to understand sacrifice like Jesus did. Embrace this opportunity it is an investment. The Lord has promised in Malachi "The windows of heaven will pour out blessings". Tithing is great.

I guess you're talking about the tax-exempt status for churches. It's because churches (and other religious organizations) are classified as nonprofit charitable organizations. Your local Red Cross or homeless shelter are also tax-exempt.
Mind you, some "megachurches" make quite a tidy profit, but have registered corporations, and they pay taxes like your local Wal-Mart.

cuz he provided you with the money you are spending,so you have to give some to the church which is in a form of like thanking him for it and he will give you more...remember you are not being forced, the same way you are not being forced to worship him...its your choice...besides...GOD gave you and all of us his ONLY SON, JESUS CHRIST to die on the cross for our sins and he took nothing from us...so just to pay a mere bill, you are complaining............think about this well...

Jesus said, "Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's." Caesar is the building, maintainance and utilities. God is the people who come into that building to worship Him/Her.
