The wealth redistribution systems in their home countries are just plain broken, and population is being produced at a rate greater than infrastructure is being built to support the population.

In some countries, there is a perception that a better life can be found in the USA, even for a new immigrant, than can be had at home. To some, this becomes a motivating factor to leave home and go to USA.

Why not?? Many Americans are coming to Europe too and live there too...people have several reasons...work, need asylum, their spouse lives there...who knows? Immigrants are what makes the US diverse, which is a good thing!!!

Because we subsidize the bulk of the cost of education and other services for poor people in this country even if they pay all taxes. That and our better economy makes poor people in other countries where their governments don't pay for universal education want to come here.

They are looking for a better life. However, it is at the expense of our own children's education and at the expense of health and other services for our sick and elderly.

Only employers who get cheap labor benefit.

We can't take on the poor of the world. We need limited immigration laws that protect our education and services, and we need to enforce those laws.

Opportunity, wether its legal or illegal this is the only country on the planet where you can raise your standard of living no matter the station your born or arrive at.Who does not want a stable life for themselves or their kids .We all want the same things for life.If we did not America could not survive and thrive the way we have,we have every single race culture and creed living here on top of one another ,all in relative peace and harmony.Cause we know our kids and ourselves will prosper regardless of who is in power i.e.Democrat or Republican and that message is beamed across the world every day thru tv showing our standard of living .I mean poor people here still have cars ,cable a roof not made out of cardboard. So how can anyone not want to live here?

Because our current domestic and foreign policy doesn't include enough enforcement to stop them. Also, there's the draw of jobs and free benefits. America's been 'outsourced', if you're a US citizen, it sucks to be you....
