I,m not trying to be racest ok , but , why is it that the British people have there name reduced to Britt ok?But its supposed to be offencive if you abreviate Pakistani to Paki, why is that, and could i take somone to court for calling me a Britt????

Well, it has to do with being politically correct ... the British are the Brits, the Americans are Yanks, the Irish are Micks or Paddys ... but lo and behold, don't call Pakistani's Pakis ... if you're white, and belong to what is, or at least has been, a predominantly white country, then you're fair game ... you'll be called a racist no matter WHAT you call people ... EVERYBODY is apparently allowed to be a racist ... except if you're WHITE ... then you're not allowed to say anything to or about anybody ...

It's basically because this world has been reduced to a candy a$$ed version of itself where you have to constantly watch what you say and to whom. If not some thin-skinned mincer will whine and cry and call you a racist. You just can't please all the people all the time and you'll go nuts trying.

I agree with Sashie...if you're white you can't get away with much.

Its just a way to shorten like calling an Australian an Aussie, a Pole is a Polish person..and no you can't sue because its not desciminating. Don't see how you think its offensive but whatever.
