My 11 yr. old has the flu.. Body aches, stuffy nose, head ache, everything.. What are good home treatments? So far today she's had Tylenol cold/flu, chicken soup, Goji juice(health juice check it out at Goji.com) and I have her sitting in a hot bath with epsom salt. She says that she's feeling a little better, but everything still aches.. She just came down with it Thursday night and only had a really bad head ache and a tummy ache.. Any suggestions would be great! Doctor's office is closed for the weekend and she's not bad enough to take to the er..

MSM is excellent for body aches. Crush it up and put it in some grape juice or apple juice. Tart cherry juice is a great antiinflamatory. Mix it in with some apple juice or grape juice.

Drinking a few glasses of distilled water with a dash of unrefined sea salt will help with hydration and mineralization.

Giver her a little raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar and sneak it into a cup of root beer. Okay it is a sugary drink but it is hard to get a child to drink apple cider vinegar otherwise.

Also slip tiny amounts of cayenne into soup and other foods. This will raise the btu's of the body.

Colloidal Silver will knock the flu out quickly.

Vitamin C with Zinc.

Sounds like you're doing a good job. May I recommend to orange juice too (large doses of vitamin C are good for this)? I'm not familiar with the Goji juice. Anyway, the flu is a viral infection, so her body will just have to overcome it. All you can do is treat the symptoms. Sometimes it'll start a secondary bacterial infection...and that'll respond to antibiotics (this usually starts as a low grade fever that increases a little each day, and you'll ned to take her to a doctor if this happens). But it sounds like you're doing all you can do for now. Remember, good handwashing is essential, or it could spread to all of you. Hope she feels better really soon........best of luck to you.............
