If you were there at this time and you did not know what sin was but here is God and He says Satan did bad and just zaps him into nothingness because he disobeyed Him, would you want to serve God out of love or would you serve Him out of fear that you may be next? You would serve out of fear, not love. IF you think of it, God has a tough time of things as He has to be fair and just and yet He has to show that He is Love too. That He has your best interest at heart when He pronounces judgement on you. That He loves you regardless of what you have done or what you have forced Him to have to do to you because of your choices. He gets blamed for any wrong that is done in the world, any disasters, and then is doubted when He does anything that lets others see just how loving He really is in that He will let you destroy yourself if that is what you choose to do with your life but is there to take you in and give you life eternal if you will but choose Him. IF He had destroyed Satan right then and there, the angels and the whole universe would have served Him out of fear, that they were next and we best not approach God or He will zap us. But God wants us to be able to approach Him and show His love for us so He did the only thing He could do, to show what sin is and what it really leads to in the end. WE are not the only world in the universe. There are perfect worlds that never sinned that are mentioned in the bible and they need to see what sin does so they will never want to sin. Sin killed the Son of God and it is being shown what sin will do by letting Satan have free rein to do what he wants for a while longer till all those that do not know God yet will have that chance to choose Him or choose Satan. When you see a child that is killed by a storm, that is not God but Satan that caused the death. Yes, God could intervene and He sometimes will but not always as He has to let everyone see what sin does, the effects of it, how evil it really is. Then in the end, those that have followed Satan will get the same reward that he gets, which is death, not eternal life in Hell but will be destroyed, burnt up, be ashes under the soles of our feet. Nowhere does it ever say in the bible that anyone will live for all eternity in Hell. That was an invention of the Catholic Church to get more converts to go with them. So you see, God lets Satan live on for a time now to show the terribleness of sin so it will never happen again.

First, He is better than I am. Second, he has divine wisdom, he uses Satan for his own purposes, even the destroying angels are under Gods command. He is omnipotent, he will protect us from Satan, but at the same time we learn the difference between good and evil.

God has a plan for us and the rest of creation, and only He knows what that is. Satan will be crushed eventually. Just read the Bible(more specifically, Genesis and Revelation) and you'll find out what will happen!

because God wants to know who will a man follow, God and become part of His family, or Satan and become nonexistent. After all Satan was able to deceive millions of Angels to follow him and they were right there in the presents of God, If we chose to follow God, Great will be our reward.
