It isnt going to be cheap, but if you are good in math and you enjoy working with animals then go for it. I wish there were more Avian Specialist. It is hard to find them for people who own birds.

I am in vet school now. It is very competitive to get into vet school. You have to work very hard and get good grades. You also have to be very dedicated to the profession because it is expensive to go to vet school and (relatively speaking), you don't make that much money as a veterinarian. I believe that if you work hard in school, take advantage of hands-on opportunities by working with animals in many different settings and keep applying (if you are not accepted the first time), you can get into vet school. It sounds like you have some time to decide what you want to do. If I were you I would get involved with shelters, veterinary offices and get acquainted with what the life of a veterinarian is like. If you find that it is your passion then, with patience and hard work, you can do it.

Veterinarians will always be needed, and in all parts of the country. Sounds like a good career.

But maybe you should try it before you buy it. See if you can get a summer job working for a veterinarian or a small veterinary practice. Watch the veterinarian(s) to see what they do. Then imagine yourself doing that.

that's definately is a sturdy theory. i had to grow to be a veterinarian. when I appeared into it, i got here upon out that it took 8 years on excellent of school and that's truly competative interior the united states. there is purely 28 vet college interior the U. S.. yet there is an option. you would nicely be a Vet Tech. They basically do an same issues as a vet except surgical operation. good success!

The difficult part is the studies. It's a lot to remember. But if you are dedicated, you might be able to achieve it.

It's worth a shot, if that's what you really want to be. I always wanted to be a veterinarian, but I have never been good with studying, and that's basically required, so I don't think I'd soak up all the information I'd need to.

It is if that's what you really want. First it's hard just to get in to vet school, but then the studies are also really hard. My dad went to vet school 'cause he loves animals but he quit after he had an entire semester class of identifying frogs by their mating calls. I'd say do a whole lot of research, but if it's important enough and you love it, don't back down.

With the growing number of pets out there, veterinarian would be good choice. People spend BILLIONS each year on their pets, vets get their share. GO FOR IT.

it is difficult, but if you want to, go for it! You could also be a vet tech rather than an actual veterinarian

If you have a love for animals, go for it. There is not a lo of help for the animals. You may even think about rehabbing, the wild, that would be very rewarding also. Seeing a bird, squirrel eagle falcon, raccoon, go romping after release is great.

I think biology and veterinary are good and proper careers for your background and allure. I think you have the patience and charisma to heal endangered species, not just domestic species. I too know you will grad and be useful to sick animals.
