When does it come a time when people should stop fighting, and one of them choose to reach out a hand to start healing and not killing? These questions being asked does not mean that I do not understand that there is always going to be some sort of fighting somewhere.

I personally have had the same problems with letting go as most people do. I think it defines the difference between a free-willed surrender and submission.

If someone were to attack someone very close to me, it would be hard not to stand up for them, and knowing when to fight the battle another day. Defending the weak is an unfortunate necessity of life sometimes, but it does not have to necessarily have to involve war. A king's sword is his pen, first and foremost to create laws.

Because forgiveness means letting go. No one wants to let go, or even give in to the fact that they might be wrong

From a Bible stand point (James 4:1) it's our desires that causes war. And if you think about it, it's true! Every war is started from a desire. When you do not deal with your desires wisely and keep a lock on them, they can become idols. Anything you place above your Christian relationship is an idol and is dangerous, war results. Interesting, so what is it that we want now, while we're in Iraq. Not just oil (if that's even a real reason), but protection. But isn't that good to want protection? Who have we turned to for protection? Not God, and that's when the idolatry of protection has come in. God has protected among thus far and it's only until we turn our back on Him, will He stop protecting us. And He won't judge us, not yet. He doesn't have to judge a country, all He has to do is not protect it, and we will judge ourselves.

War is NEVER easier than forgiveness. However, there comes a time when, after you've had your hand cut off, that forgiveness doesn't work anymore, and you have to take action.Let me ask you this...if your entire family was killed by terrorists, would you reach out your hand and forgive them? Or would you want to see justice done? If Saddam Hussein killed your parents, and his insurgents killed everyone you ever loved, would you forgive them and reach out your hand in friendship?

War is far more profitable than forgiveness for super powers. We have to maintain a massive economy that continues to grow every year. To many politicians, war is extremely simple and cost-efficient for countries to do. It helps to create jobs, raise the gross domestic product (GDP), and to, sometimes, benefit companies with ties to the government. Additionally, seized assets such as oil are confiscated. Sadly, this is how war works in today's world.

i have never heard anyone say that war is easier. there has to be a limit on how much to forgive. could you really forgive someone for killing as many innocent people as we lost on 9/11, knowing that such acts of hatred and violence are apt to happen again? unfortuanetly there are people who have no regard for human life so they need to be gotten rid of. this might seem like a contradiction of terms, but there is a vast difference between killing people who are as indecent as they could possibly be and killing decent, hardworking, god loving productive individuals.

Good one.
Well. you can forgive and understand all you want but when still want to kill you, do you lie down and let them? No you apply to the heavens and you defend.
You can not reach out a hand to someone who will cut it off.

Because to forgive one must compromise.

Humans are weak they want what they want and are willing to hurt to get it.

It's easier to shed the blood of your enemy than to hold your enemy close to your chest and stop others from shedding his blood.

Isn't that horrible. All because we refuse to compromise. Its all in the big circle of greed.

We should live and let live. Follow our beliefs and let others follow theirs. Fight when it is absolutely needed and there is no compromise in sight. And fight in the way that the innocent don't get hurt.

"In Africa, When the elephants fight; it is the grass that gets trampled."

Is it though? Is it easier to kill our friends, children, brothers, sisters? Or is it easier to forgive and learn from our mistakes. People are looking for the easy way rather then the permanent way, that's why there is war rather then mediation.

It is always easier to hate someone then it is to love someone that hates you just like in school when there is a fight everyone crowding around to watch and cheer but very few who step in to stop it. it is very hard to be a Christian, Christ commanded us to love even our enemy i tell you this road is not easy but joy is waiting at the end.

'Sorry seems to be the hardest word'. I have met people throughout my life who refuse ever to apologise and claim never to have made a mistake or to have done anything wrong. I never believe them and believe that it is this type of person who starts family feuds, minor skirmishes and in fact wars........
