Atheists are afraid that worshipers of archaic belief systems will prevent society from becoming something better.

Christians, only because no others were listed. I live in the "bible belt" and have never incurred so much intolerance and total lack of understanding and a complete and utter lack of knowledge both scientific and biblical.

I have yet to encounter one that had done a random act of kindness, when no one was watching, and nothing in it for them. If your not a Christian you are not accepted here in the Appalachian Mt's. of southwestern, WV.

Christians, as well as all other religions, have been indoctrinated since birth, in a line that stretches several thousand years. Children learn what they live with. Propaganda. They are taught to fear the unseen Deity. The old gotta, oughta, hafta, better and should or some unseen thing will hurt you. And they say Christians are lovers of mankind. I think not! Remember the crusades? The inquisitions? The witch hunts? All done in the name of some god. All done by Christians!

And now we have Muslim extremeist swearing an oath of murder to Allah! Murder in the name of God! Sheesh! Get a grip world!

Footnote: There are five major religions of the world, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, Muslim, Jew all declaring theirs is the one and only true religion and worshiping the "One True God". GIVE ME A BREAK!

You're right, if you don't believe in something, you cannot fear it. It's good to know however that just because someone doesn't believe in something or fear something, that it doesn't exist any other than it already does.

But, what does a Christian fear, who truly believes in God?

Death (you know where you're going)
Hell (you're not going there)
Devil (Has no power over you)
Bad times (hmm, what does an atheist say about this? Because we lean on God and look to him for support)

Who is more afraid when they die, a Christian or an atheist. Talk to a doctor and he'll tell you that he/she has seen more graceful deaths among Christians than non-Christians.

Evil spirits (we have dominion over them, in Christ's name)
God (He works all things for our joy and happiness in the end)
Man (we don't fear man because what can man do? Man can kill only the body. These bodies are temporary).

The point is, if a Christian really thinks about it you'll see that there isn't much to fear because nothing can seperate you from the love of God. No one can pluck you from His hands.

Atheists. they fear reality and religion. they are afraid that if they believe then that puts their existence and souls at risk. What a sad way to live thinking that we are only here to grow old and die and cease to exist. Atheists fear spirituality because they would rather walk around feeling nothing. They fear love and are incapable of it and are self centered. Atheists use the excuse that there is no God, Devil, Good or evil to get away with their immoral thoughts and lack of conscience. Atheists fear the most because like a child hiding under the bed they hide behind their lack belief.

The ral meaning of the word Christian is a man who believs in God and if full of LOVE and UNDERSTANDING and TOLERANCE towards the others. Unfortuantely, these people are so rare nowadays... the so-called christians are in fact hypocrits, liars, intolerant, selfish, etc, they go to church every sunday but can't spare a nickel for the real poor people, they'd rather see the gay dead than try to coexist with them in peace, they'd rather kill someone they believe is a sinner than try to understand that person and change it to better... so... as true chrsitians are so rare... i think the lame christians are more dangerous, because they can lie so well to themselves, that if Jesus would come back here on earth, they would kill him without remore again and tell themselves it was their sacred duty, or in the best case they would have him in a psychiatric house...

atheists don't belive in nothing than themselves, they would to whatever is best for them, their family, etc, but at least they won't say that their actions are wished by god or that they do god's work... remember the spanish inquisition... the witches who weere burned in new england... and so many other cases...

Christians- because they believe in god and seek his love.Atheist dont believe in God so they are particularly not afraid of anything. It can be easily explained by this example that when we dont have a parent around we go on doing whatever we want without being afraid of anything(atheist) and when we have some elder we know our limit and be well mannered(christian).

Christians fear everything, because they were brainwashed to fear everything. This was supposed to lead to the higher intellect people (slave owners, rulers, MEN, etc) having the upper hand and keeping their sheep in order.

I hate the word "Atheist" myself.... modern day man has turned it into a synonym for "devil worshipper". I consider myself a "non-Christian" ...

I'm afraid of: spiders, cockroaches, stink bugs, 18-wheelers on the interstate, dentists, hurricanes, drunks on the road, my house catching on fire, my hair falling out .... wow, I guess my list is pretty long too !!! lol ..... thank goodness for beer .... I need one now.
