It's likely just a prank call by some kid. However, if you want to report it to the police they will be happy to take your report. That's why they are there.

Welcome to the world of SPAM. Once you get on an email list, the only things you can do is ignore it, delete it, look for unsubscribe options in the message, or depending on your email program, block that sender or use a SPAM filter. Hope this helps!
This is just an unsolicited email from some unknown advertiser. Don't worry about it. There are 1000's of ways people get your email address.

just put that email address on your blocked list, you won't get anything from it to your inbox again, and no one can get any sufficient information on you simply from sending you an email. unless you gave it to them on some site with adware or something. Whenever you sign up on sites you're suspicious about, check for a privacy policy stating they won't give away your personal information.

Mark it as spam and move on. If you continue to get them, report them to the email service provider and get a new email account.

You should take your messenger name off your yahoo answers profile. Just leave the "let other users contact me" thing up, that way people can contact you through answers without knowing your actual e-mail. To change your settings, go to "My Q&A".

If it came from a yahoo user forward it to: abuse@yahoo.com
Otherwise send it to the abuse or customer service for which ever service it came through.
Do NOT answer it.
