I would like to know what I need in order to move to Europe, maybe Spain or Italy and find a job. I am a US citizen and have no European papers.

First you must have a job there. Then with this in hand, you can apply for a visa. Not easy, but it is much less restrictive than trying to get into the USA. If you have the means, go on vacation there and get a job offer in writing. Speaking the language is important too

It depends on the country you are going to, even with the EU streamlining the process. You will of course need a passport and also a visa issued from the country you are going to. The visa will probably indicate your intentions - vacation, work/employment, student, government business, etc. You will also need to show a bank statement to get the visa so the host country will not you are not going to be destitue when you come to their country, as they don't and won't provide you with any social services ( never mind the fact that the USA provides everything to anyone from anywhere at the expense of the taxpayers).

There's huge unemployment in Spain ... doubt if you'd have much luck, unless you speak Spanish and can work as a language teacher or something ... other than that, you'll have to contact the embassies in question for info ... these countries may be in the EU, but they do have different immigration policies ...
