YES

Have you ever seen a baggage handler?

Never, ever check a laptop.

You must put it in your carry-on bag.

Don't throw it in a suitcase. The odds of it getting damaged if you wrap it in soft clothing is pretty small, but it's not worth the risk.

Even without a laptop case, you can even just throw it in a backpack, and carry it on with you.

I would always carry it in a laptop bag with you. One, the handlers are never very nice with the luggage. Two, laptops are the big thing to steal right now. Are you really willing to part with yours?

You will not damage the laptop untill unless you put too much pressure on the laptop or the laptop bangs on the sides or top bottom of the suit case, the lap top should be firmly placed but with too much pressure.

yes for a few reasons
1. the bagage handlers just throw stuff around.
2. the xray machine will damage it since its a lot stronger than the 1 inside the airport u put your hand luggage into.

Too many possibilities to answer YES or NO. I strongly suggest you take it on the plane as carry-on. This way you can be sure it's not being damaged or worse, stolen.

If it is a carry on, then most likely, no. But, if it isn't, you should consider laptop sleeve. They are padded, and can protect your laptop from most damage.

DONT! I have observed how the baggage handlers move baggage. Almost like watching a game of football.
