No reason why not, America is full of people with surnames as Christian names, and to some extent this is true of Britain as well. Wherever you are, there will be people with far more inappropriate Christian names than Lambert. But I don't recommend it if you live somewhere rough.

If kids can be called Apple, Peaches and Romeo why would Lambert not be allowed, some traditional surnames have now become christian (first) names like Regan, Tyler or Marshall

Any name can be used as a christian name but do think about your child's future and what the name will mean for them.

Yup i had never thought of that name before but even though it is usually a surname it sound quite cool as a first name ( as long as the second name isnt AND BUTLER) lol
But yeah i really do think that sounds quite smart for a first name.
