I would have to say that e-harmony is a scam also . I am a single man whom makes under $ 50,000 /year and this is the only reason that I can figure why e-harmony informed me that they could not match me with anybody .Now , if I were to lie about my income that would be dishonest . I thought the point of these services was honesty . At least , it did not cost me anything but my time filling out that ridiculous profile .

I'm not sure it is completely bogus. But the one "date" I went on with a woman I met on the site was a completely wasted evening and 100 dollars. They don't test for intellectual compatibility (I'm sure my IQ was 30+ points higher than hers), and they should also require a clear photo to be submitted once you're at the phone call level (she would have to have had the world's greatest personality). She was pleasant but EXTREMELY boring. I met my amazing wife, who lived 400 miles away, a couple of months later randomly through Yahoo! chat.

Not sure. I met my husband on yahoo personals. He was from the same town as I. Been married for 2 years now. Didn't cost us anything to join then. Not sure if it does now. Also I don't know what e-Harmony charges. I would go with yahoo and find someone in your own town.

My girlfriend from work met her husband on e-harmony, they just got married in may, and went to JAMAICA on there honey-moon just last week, they are very happy! I also know another gal , from work, that met and married her husband, from e-harmony. My hair stylist, told me she knows at least 10 people who have found matches, or married, from the e-harmony site.As soon as my divorce is final , it's the only site I plan on visiting.

Totally overrated and too expensive.
No such thing as "scientific" principles there. All it is is a simple matching database. Nice marketing scheme though. No work involved on their part. That's what you call "easy money".

My father, a psychologist had the best answer when he told me, "They're a bunch of manipulative bastards who play off of people's emotions and scam them out of their money."
