I believe in God.

In response to your question for me it was not "only an education" that led me to Theism... see below...

For scientific and intellectual evidence for the existence of God, see http://www.godsci.org/gs/godsci/evidence.htm

I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).

Cordially,
John

Yes, mainly because the world and universe seem too complicated for mere natural selection to be responsible. Many believe because it is a comfort, and I understand that. Virtually all cultures since the caveman days have held beliefs in an afterlife and a higher power (or powers), which, of course, go together. Part of it is education, but where did it start, if not from someone just wondering where it all came from?

I know and feel God, it's not just a matter of belief.
I was not always like this, I had my questions about God and at one point (many years ago) did not believe however I have grown over the years to where I am now. I seeked out my own path which at the time I did not feel would lead me to where I am now however it did. It turns out, all paths (if you follow your heart) will lead to God.

God is not about religion, it is about Loving, Knowing and Practicing that Love with Everyone each and every day.

Beware the Id, let go of the ego.

Love God, Love Others, Love Yourself

Doubtful, though both are contributing factors. I don't think either of my parents believe in God, nor did I go to a school that was in any way religious. Yet, I am a Theist, and a Catholic Christian.

I do not believe in god. I was raised in a christian home. My parents are wonderful people who allowed me to make up my own mind and respect my opinions and decisions. I have read the bible and studied religion and made an educated decision. I don't believe god, hell, heaven, etc. are real. It is all up to what you make of the evidence. Believe what you want. Believe in what makes you happy.

I don't believe in God and was brought up in an agnostic household. My husband was brought up RC but became atheist when he left home at 18. Our children will be rasied agnostic because it will be for them to decide what they want to believe.
I don't believe for many reasons - too many to go into, but the overall reason wuold be that I find religion contradictory.

I believe in God - because He has shown Himself to me in so many ways - and kept me alive when I should have been dead.

Miracles happen everyday around us! I look at the experiences in my life and compare them to what the bible says, and I can't deny that God is real.

My parents are Lutheran - which I was raised, and that did nothing for me to believe. They are still searching. I went to public school.

If you have questions, keep searching - God will reveal Himself to you - wherever you are!

I believe exploring "God" can be healthy, even when it leads to wise beliefs / skepticisms.
