Morality and ethics need to be rescued from religion.

Most religions do not address the same God. Yes God needs rescued from religions. Most religions are set up by their own by-laws and not according to the Bible or whatever they use. I do not believe in religious practices, yet I believe the Bible. I will not follow all of the man-made-rules on religion. I follow only the Bible. A good example of this is the Muslim people that follow different teachings. Some kill and maim while others believe in peace.

Rev 7:10
10 . . . Salvation to our God . . .
KJV

As far as God being rescued from religion, you'd have to define religion. The way the Bible defines it, God's fine with it.

James 1:27
27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
KJV

In answer to your second querry, NO, most religions do not address the same God. Only Judaism and Christianity worship the God who created the heaven and the earth.

There's only one way to tell the truth, all else is error.

I am not sure, but if they do tell them that the true religion God believes in is Christianity, nothing else. Other religions may think God likes what they are doing, but they're wrong.

it just depens on which God. The God i talk about is the Father of Jesus Christ.. so that is a good point... we need to address which god we are talking about (even though in my religion there is only one True God)

This is two questions, but I'll just respond to the first one.

God is very powerful, and He knows what's going on. Although I'm sure that He's sad that more people aren't interested in what He has to say, He is powerful enough to figure out how to accomplish his purposes despite what we do.

There is one God, and He has many names... All religions are about this one Person, how sad it it is to see fights among different religions which claim that they are "the only way" to God.
There are many ways...

Yes!

I believe exploring "God" even to the point of healthy belief / skepticism is legitimate.

Religion (Christianity included) ruins it all for everyone.
