An atheist is one who either doesn't believe in god, or believes there is no such thing as a god or gods. A deist is one who believes in god but does not subscribe to the tenets of any religion. Therefore Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus and deists cannot be called atheists, but Buddhists can.
An agnostic is one believes there is no definitive proof for either the existence or nonexistence of god, and who also believes that such proof is probably impossible to find.

Someone is an atheist if they believe that there is no higher power or being that created the earth/human beings/etc. Therefore, someone who believes in Hinduism is still a creationist ... it doesn't matter that they believe in more than one God.
An agnostic is someone who believes that we can't know whether or not there is a "god" is whatever way shape or form. There is no proof for or against it, so why bother trying to figure it out? Why take a stance and hate people who believe differently over something that you can't prove?

Atheists believe there is no deity. The term comes from the greek root a-, meaning without (as in "amoral") plus "theist," one who believes in god.
Agnostics believe we can't know--again, a-, without, -gnosis, knowledge of a particular type associated with religion.
Some Christian groups took to calling all other religions "atheist" because they thought that anyone who didn't believe in *their* god, didn't believe in any god at all.
Hindus usually believe in many gods. Some Buddhists are atheists; others are not. Pagans are generally not atheists.

No, atheist and agnostic are completely separate from Buddhism and Hinduism, and all other religions. Atheism and agnosticism aren't so much a religion as they are a lack thereof.
Atheists believe that there is no God.
Agnostics believe that one cannot prove or disprove the existence of a higher being because it is impossible to know or comprehend.

Agnostics recognize that they do no longer comprehend with a hundred% fact besides the fact that if a god exists or no longer. some agnostics (often referred to as "militant agnostics" or "perplexing agnostics") declare that that's impossible to renowned besides the fact that if a god exists or no longer. Agnosticism purely refers to what you comprehend. What you think is autonomous from this, so it fairly is achieveable to be an agnostic theist (believing, yet realising that one would not particularly comprehend with a hundred% fact) or agnostic atheist (ditto, yet no longer believing in any god or gods). Atheists lack a concept in any deity. it particularly is all. some atheists have faith that no god(s) exist, others are content cloth with accepting that there is not any info, hence no reason to have faith. it fairly is an identical form of logic that we practice daily to issues like Bigfoot or The Flying Spaghetti Monster: in case you are able to no longer teach me the info, there is not any reason I ought to have faith you.
