Depression and anxiety disorders are not the same though, although at first glance they seem very similar. Depression generates emotions such as hopelessness, despair and anger. Energy levels are usually very low, and depressed people often feel overwhelmed by the day-to-day tasks and personal relationships so essential to life.
A person with anxiety disorder, however, experiences fear, panic or anxiety in situations where most people would not feel anxious or threatened. The sufferer may experience sudden panic or anxiety attacks without any recognized trigger, and often lives with a constant nagging worry or anxiousness. Without treatment, such disorders can restrict a person’s ability to work, maintain relationships, or even leave the house.
Both anxiety and depression are frequently treated in much the same manner, which may explain why the two disorders are so often confused. Antidepressant medication is often used for anxiety, while behavioral therapy frequently helps people overcome both conditions.

Being depressed is when you just dont find good in anything. Your friends, they all stink. You look liek crap, you feel like crap. Everything is worthless. Your overall outlook is bleak and you just arent motivated to do anything, at all. You need to find something that gets you out of this rut. It is reversible. People go through cycles. Your brain controls all of these feelings. If you need to start excercising. This will increase your levels of seritonin. The good feeling hormone. Eat some junk food and get out and walk around in the woods or park. Get some fresh air. Toxins often cause feelings of fatigue so drink some green tea and just start thinking better. Watch an uplisfting corny movie. Life sometimes is serious but overall, its a journey where you will have trememdous happiness amond times of sadness. Dont give up. Itll all be done with soon and you wont even look back, until the next time. Always remember you have people that love you and that there is a lot to live for. So get out and do it.

That could be depression. What's really bad about depression is that it comes on so gradually, in most cases, that a person doesn't realize it until it gets bad or until they get on medication and start feeling better. You are isolating yourself and that can be a symptom of sorts. If you really delve into why you don't, you will probably find that you're depressed. The other indicators may have been around so long that you just didn't recognize them until you noticed it was holding you back. Go talk to your doc... a regular doc can possibly help you (depending on the dr.). Good luck and I hope you find your way out.

It either could be some form of depression but in my opinion it could be anxiety more than depression. (Sometimes they can have the symptoms & make you mistake one for the other) I often times do the same thing. If you think that it's really serious or something you should see your doctor because they should be able to tell you what it is that is wrong with you & find some sort of treatment for you. They might start you out on xanex which you only take when you really need to & if that doesnt work they give you something that you take every day. Hope this helps!

Here is one of my thoughts on what depression is. You awake to an annoying alarm and you think, "My God, I'm still alive". so you get up and nothing taste good, nothing you seem to do is going the way you intended, you think of who you want to take out with you, you wonder if there is an end to this enduring pain that is locked inside your head driving you to look for an outlet...you cry at the drop of a hat, you wonder why no one loves you, you want to be gone from this world, you wonder what it is like on the other side, the pain, if you could only stop the pain from burrowing deep inside the marrow of your bones. Then you cry as your loading the weapon and realize that this is not the right way, so you unload your gun and sit with the whiskey bottle almost empty and reflecting on what just perspired, you wonder what tomorrow will bring and then you pass out.
Hopefully, this only happens once or twice, but what the hell, you know, you have to understand that when your really depressed, you want no one, you want nothing, you want to escape, sleep, drugs, sex, anything to make the sadness go away. But, I'm just guessing here, right?

One of the first signs is an unexplainable change in sleep patterns. It happens to all of us in varying degrees. For the most part we all recover quite easily. Only in a few cases it becomes clinical. Meaning gotta go see a doctor. Get back into your routines. Guide the body and soon the mind will follow. Don't worry, you'll be OK.

Depression is when you start having suicidal thoughts and actions. When you feel like crying all the time for no particular reason.
If you think you're depressed, why not take a trip to the doc to have it checked for sure?

not really. if you like the way you live and you enjoy it, it is not at all depresssion. But ofcourse we call it so since we are social beings and hence being alone would be against that tradition. so they term it as depresssion in psychology. The point is is feel happy in whatever you do. about your appearance it doesnt matter as sexiness comes from your attitude. Even a fat ugly woman can be enjoyed better in bed than a slim gal..hehehehehe

You sound like me growing up. You need to go to a doctor and talk about meds for depression.
