Here are the quotes from Jesus that proves that he lied:

1) And Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it will happen. "And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." (Matthew 21:21-22 NAS)

2) Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8 NAB)

3) Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst. (Matthew 18:19-20 NAS)

4) Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it shall be done for him. Therefore I tell you, all that you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours. (Mark 11:24-25 NAB)

5) And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. (Luke 11:9-13 NAB)

6) And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it. (John 14:13-14 NAB)

7) If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you. (John 15:7 NAB)

8) It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that

A lot of Christians ignore what Jesus actually says in the Bible. They also tend to add things to the actual words to make them say something else. If you honestly and truthfully read these quotes, without adding to them, it is very easy to see that Jesus is not saying that God will think about your prayers. He says God will grant all your prayers. Clearly, God doesn’t grant all prayers and this proves that Jesus was a habitual liar.

I do agree with you that Christians tend to add to what was written in the Bible. They also tend to slant their viewpoints by picking and choosing certain scriptures that they like and ignoring the rest. The success gospel that is all the rage is like that and focuses on scriptures such as these and people get upset when they don't get the pony they asked for or their spouse actually dies from cancer instead of experiencing a miraculous healing. To your point, if you chose to just take these particular words and apply them without taking the totality of what Christ said, yes, one could say He was lying. One would have to accept that the writers of the gospels were writing down every single word that He said with no inaccuracies on their parts, as well, even though they were men and not God. You have also picked different translations to make your point, and not gone to sources closer to what was actually written. You cannot prove that a historical figure, whether he was God or not, lied, unless you build a time machine and go to whenever it was that particular figure lived and record certain things being said by that historical figure.

Ok...Jesus did not lie. Jesus is the only sinless man who has ever and will ever live on this earth.

These scriptures are conditional. If you are a believer, if you have faith and if you are doing all that God has you to do, then your prayers will be answered. It may not be when you want it or how you want it, but God WILL answer your prayers.

As far as the scripture that says, "if you say to this mountain, be taken up and cast into the sea, it will happen", it's a metaphor. If you read the Bible, you will see that Jesus uses a lot of them. I do believe that if someone had enough faith and really, truly believed the mountain would jump into the sea, IT WOULD. But, in the back of minds, you are questioning and challenging that very thing. So, it will not happen.

There is more to the Bible than just reading it. You must be a believer and have the Holy Spirit to guide you and help you understand what you are reading.

Well....if you believe that faith is just believing alone, then yes, he did lie. But, unfortunatley, that is not what the bible teaches about faith. The apostle James said that you can not show faith without action, nor can your actions be good without faith. So part of faith is action. Also, faith is holding true to the promises of God. The Old Testament has hundreds of stories on that. So that says faith has something to do with hearing first. What Jesus is saying is that when you know what God wants of you, you can ask for his help and he will give it. YOu can't expect a promise that he made to one person to be applicable to you. If that were the case, there would be thousands of 80 year old women with new-borns. When he speaks of asking and knocking, it is in reference to knowledge. But, again with James, he says that you should be careful what you ask for, you shouldn't ask God for stuff if you really don't think he will give it to you. It is like asking a friend to borrow money when you think they don't have it (whether they do or not). Why did you ask in the first place? And then you have to think about how God is the king, the one, etc. He has a plan and will for the earth, if your prayers go against that, of course he will answer witha no. The verse about two in his name, well, it also says he has to be in their midst. Two people praying to God that don't fully believe in him, and have him in their lives, really aren't in his midst (reference the parable of the fruit and the vine)
God is not a magic genie. You don't rub the bible three times and get 5 wishes. Prayer, more than anything, is communication with God, not "shopping" with God. I think there is some misunderstanding of these verses, even in many Christian circles (name it claim folks, etc)

God will grant the prayers of those who have a strong faith and who truly abide in Him. The bible also says that the "double minded" should not expect to receive blessings from God. Does this make Jesus a Liar? Absolutely not. When Jesus speaks in parables, sometimes it can be very difficult(if not impossible) for people who haven't put their trust in God to understand what they mean.

From reading your question, it sounds like you don't know Jesus as your personal savior yet. If you choose to accept Jesus, the Holy Spirit will give you a clear understanding of the scriptures. The Holy Spirit shows us and reminds us of things we don't understand about God.

God bless!

Now here's the thing, Jesus did exist so who ever said Jesus was a lie in itself and go F off.

Jesus was lied to so the things he said, he meant them, but obviously it would never happen cause Jesus was as normal as us only his mother lied so that he could survive.

In those times women were arrange married. Mary was in love with someone else and was forced to marry Joseph (correct name?), but she became pregnant with the other man's child.

When you are preggers with someone else's baby other than your husband, the mother and the child are killed as a punishment. She knew that so she lied and said her child came from "God".

Therefore Mary is the creator of God and the biggest Liar this Earth has ever seen. Although without that lie Jesus would not have done the kind things he has done so it is right to follow Jesus's teachings if you so want, but there is no god and Jesus was not the son of God.

Do you think that if Jesus Lied, that there would be so many believers in God and what he has promised us. If Jesus lied, than ever thing written about how he was crucified. and then rose again would be a lie. And for there to be so many different stories about what happened from different prospectives, but all leading up to the same climax, well, that is proof enough for me that he was not lying.

Jesus is not a liar YOU are though since you are trying your best to twist the words of the bible around just to suit yourself-like you say others do- hey you are doing the same thing!!! S0 BEFORE YOU BLAME OTHERS-examine yourself! As for the mountain it could be moved by forces of nature or by a bulldozer if a person should choose to do so!

No, you have to believe that God will answer your prayers. Have faith. And it doesnt say it will come right away. It says things such as "seek." You have to keep asking him. You have to work to get it. What kind of God will he be if he just sat there waiting for your prayers, and then got up at your command and ran around doing your bidding

I feel that you need to re-read the Bible. I think that sometimes we pray and ask the Lord for things and we can't wait long enough for the Lord to take care of it. So we say that He is a liar and doesn't do what He says He will do. Just to let you know that the Lord does do for us, it's just that He does what He knows is best for us. We need to just have faith that He will always be there for us.

That's your opinion, based on Jesus' timing. I don't understand everything about Christ, But I believe everything He did. AND THAT"S MY CHOICE. I think Jesus was incapable of lies, and YOU are only going to believe what YOU want to believe. Things come and go, just as people, but the words and life of Jesus Christ will be here long after we're gone. That, He didn't lie about.
