Stone Mountain is a great place to go for a fun day. There is alot to do in the park. You can ride the train around the park or go swimming. You can visit the plantation to see how life use to be. (Not pleasant for all who lived then) or you can hike the trails.

You can climb the mountain if you like or get a ride to the top for a nice view. You can camp there or ride the river boat.

But a MUST at Stone Mountain is the laser show they have at dark every night. It is great!!!!! Take a blanket and sit on the ground with a cold drink. Very Nice!!!!

Stone Mountain, Georgia is worth the visit just to say you climbed the highest single stone mountain. Or ride the cable car. The golf courses are not easy, water comes into play on 11 of 18 holes on Lakeside and 6 of 18 on Hillside.
Laser light show at nighton face of mountain is ok. Carving of Confederate leaders is by same artist that did Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota. Lake has boat rental, dinner cruise with steam paddle boat and swimming areas. REsturants ok, motels ok. Good way to relax and spend a day or two.

If you are a person who enjoys nature you will love it. It is a fun place to camp and the light show on the mountain is really good.

Yeah, it's kind of fun. There's a railroad that goes around the mountain, and you can climb it. It's a bit cheesy, but can be an enoyable way to spend a day.
