What an Arab can or can't do is dependent on the laws of his country, his professed religion and his morals, values and ethics.

'Arab' and 'Muslim' do not have the same meaning. There are Christian, Jewish and Druze Arabs, and in addition there are over a billion non-Arab Muslims.

The Qur'an states that a Muslim man can have up to (I believe) four wives provided he is able to love and take care of them. Your friend is oversimplifying the situation, but Muslim men can have multiple wives. And Muslim women cannot have multiple husbands.

In the Muslim country where I live, Turkey, polygamy is forbidden by law.

Everyone who has been paying attention knows that Muslim men (not necessarily Arabs, as you referred to them) have far more rights than the Muslim woman. It's a fact and cannot be disputed by anyone who is rational and can read. It's the same reason that a woman has no rights in a divorce.

According to my ex-husband, a muslim, the real purpose behind this is that many men/husbands die in war. Women do not have the means to support themselves. Therefore, men would have multiple wives (commonly a mans brother or other relative) in order to care for the widowed women.

before each and everything, Tarkan isn't center jap.. and ive considered this video before. He dances like a lady. it is scary to computer screen. and also you're comparing one end of the spectrum with yet another. You took the most liberal of Islamic states and are comparing it to the most conservative ones...Like comparing the existence of Houston, Texas with Dearborn, Michigan and slapping the call 'u.s.' on it. if you're speaking about the liberal international places, they freely enable females to be clad (and also you should google the fashions and singers and actresses your self). The conservative international places on the different hand do no longer enable adult males or females to precise sexuality publicly. as an celebration, in Iran, entertainers (male or female) ought to flow by potential of the authorities clerics before liberating albums and Saudi Arabian singers do not stay of their usa.
