From my own personal experience I would not say that it is the devils bible. It is misleading and they do use other books other than the Bible for their teachings. I had been baptised into the mormon church and then given a book. I took it home and read it and was quite dismayed to learn that according to Joseph Smith, God is in heaven with a wife making spirit babies. That would make him an adulterer, something He tells us to avoid at all costs. Why would God need any one for his creations. He is quite capable to take care it all by himself.
When I questioned the missionaries that came by the house about this teaching, there response was as disturbing as the book. They asked me for the book back and informed me that I was not to have recieved tha t book until I had been in the church for at least 5 years. In that way I would be indoctrined into their faith long enough to believe that. it was the truth.
This is a true story. After this encounter I felt so dirty that I actually had to go and bathe. I scrubbed my skin red trying to get rid of the awful feeling that I was left with. I was about 20 years old when this happened. I thank the Lord that my husband was very supportive and helped me to get through this, as we prayed together and asked for forgivness for violating God's laws. It took a couple of days and never allowing the missionaries back into our home for me to get rid of the dirty feeling and feeling like I had betrayed God. I hope this helps. I do not hate any other people of any other religion, But i do sometimes fel very sorry for them for misguided beliefs and teachings.

Is it any wonder you're confused? You're trying to get something as important as this from a movie? Never!!!
No! The Book of Mormon is not the devil's bible. As far as I know, the devil has never written anything. While I'm not a Mormon, I believe there's good and bad, truth and falsehood in just about everything. The Mormon Bible was written by men who over a certain period made more than 4,000 corrections to their bible. That tells me one thing, their bible was not inspired by the only true living God... Jehovah... Father of Jesus Christ.
And yet, there are some truth in the Mormon bible... in the Watch Tower of the Jehovah's Witnesses. This is why one must educate oneself about such important issues as these.
Great Question!!!

There is nothing in the Book of Mormon that contradicts the Bible, in fact it is just another book of the bible which the Church of Jesus Christ Later Day Saints Use. The devil wants people to leave out the most precious parts of the scriptures. The book of Mormon teaches about Jesus Christ and the Bible, it is not a substitute or replacement for the Bible but written to go hand in hand with the bible.

Its not the "Devil's Bible", it is a perversion of the Bible, because it adds things to and subtracts other things from God's word. Did the Satan have something to do with its writings? Of course, because Satan is always trying to twist God's word-Eve is a perfect example. Satan used her to enter sin into the world. In the same way he uses the book of Mormon to lead people astray. There is a Satanic Bible out there, it is generally used by people who are practicing Satanists, so although the book is a tool that Satan uses its not, in the litteral sense, the "Devil's Bible".

No.
The Book of Mormon is a book of scripture that was written by prophets who lived during ancient times. In that way, it is very similar to the Bible. The prophets who wrote in the Book of Mormon lived on the American continent. God revealed His will and gospel to these prophets just like He revealed information to the prophets in the middle east who wrote the Bible. God is the same God, so the teachings of the Book of Mormon and the prophets who wrote the Bible are the same. By reading about certain principles in both the Book of Mormon and the Bible together, we can gain a greater understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
One of the highlights of the Book of Mormon is that it records the visit that Jesus Christ made to the American continent after His resurrection. Jesus said, "Other sheep I have which are not of this fold." He was referring to His people on the American continent. The Book of Mormon records his teachings among these people as well. This proves the great love that Jesus Christ has for all people of the world.
I read from the Book of Mormon every day and I feel that it helps me to be closer to the Holy Ghost and learn more about Jesus Christ.

The book of mormon contradicts the Bible.
Anything that contradicts the Bible is heresy and untruth.
Mormons DO NOT believe in the same God that Christians do even though they say they do. They believe in a goddess mother that is existing as we speak with heavenly father.
The problem they have is with Deuteronomy 4:35 when God says I am God and I know of no other God's besides me.
They also do NOT believe that Jesus is God; they believe that Jesus and satan are brothers. There are more contradictions, but just know that mormonism is the devils tool to deceive many.

It depends on who you ask I guess. If you believe it is, no one can change your mind. To me it is the most wonderful book! Any man or woman who reads it and lives by its teachings can get closer to the Lord than by doing anything else. It is a record of the people who were living in the America's about the same time frame as the Bible. It's another testament of Jesus Christ and was divinely TRANSLATED (not written) by Joseph Smith through the power of God. Read it yourself. It is a companion to the Bible. Its teachings directly compliment those of the bible.

I feel sorry for the person who thought they were "dirty" after reading it...that's sad.

I am not Mormon, but, no, the Book of Mormon is not the Devil's Bible and to make such a a statement or to be so offended by it, is just plain ignorance.
Just b/c you don't practice a certain religion does not mean that you should completely trash it as, lets face it...there is no proof to back up any religion. It is all based on faith and what each person believes in their own heart.
It is shocking to me, that w/ everything going on in the world, that any religious figure head, like a pastor, would be so thoughtless as to tell someone in his church to burn the Book of Mormon. (In response to another person who answered).

The Book of Mormon was concocted by Joseph Smith, who was told by "an angel" that all other religions were crap and He needed Joseph "to set everything straight." I find this coincidental at the time of the revivals of Charles Finney in the same region and time when these were exploding.
They claim another testament of Jesus Christ, saying He came to America and preached to the "lost tribe of Israel."
There truly is a Satanic Bible out there and the main theme is "DO WHAT THOU WILL." The Book of Moroman doesn't come close to this but it isn't a true testament of Jesus Christ, either.
