Confidence - Let me answer your statements.

First off if we do not accept Jesus then we will go to Hell. If we follow the world and turn on God it is stated as that being hatred towards God. We will be destroyed - automatically. End of story.

If there is no hell then I would have to ask you, are you completely full? Do you lack anything? Is there a point where there is an emptyness in your heart when you want something and you can't get it. I would also have to present you with this
Evil and Good
Wrong and Right
Angels and Demons
God and Satan
I mean when it comes down to it, why does the Bible relate so well to today and all the issues we face everday. How does one book come through the ages and show everyone the problems the world will give you?

Help us....We need to have God to change us. We need God so that we can have our issues solved. So we can be healed and brought out of the darkness and into the light of His righteousness. The world wants us to trust in the knowledge of the world and the world actually knows nothing at all. There are so many people who claim this and that, but really what do these people know, do they know more than you? Does a piece of paper with a designation of MBA or PhD prove they know more than you? How is that possible. There is a study that shows each of us has limited knowledge of the world. With that we are all average when compared to each other.

How is it possible for you to say that someone does not need anyone else? That in itself is a completely wrong statement. Get this, you need friends to help you through the tough times, you need a fellow worker to help you with a project. If you are a manager and you need an accountant, are you going to go back to school to become an accountant or are you going to need another person. Believe me you or I cannot do it all. We have limited lives and each of us provides something to other people.

I have to ask you, in everything that people do - does all people have 100% confidence in everything? I mean going from talking to a beautiful woman to giving a speech, to standing in front of 1,000 people. To being fully naked in a group of strangers? Is anyone confident in driving a car at 150 mph? How about a motorcycle at 160? How about 200? What kind of confidence are we talking about?

I'm sorry this is long and rambling, but please read this. Think about it.

How do Athiests know there isn't a God, and Christians know there is one? Well, humans have an instintive need to put their trust in something, whether it is themselves, a god or gods, or material things. Atheists believe that there is nothing beyind this world, no supernatural being. So they believe only in themselves. But what happens if they fail? If things beyond their power happen and all they can do is watch helplessly? Look at all the disasters that have happened in the world recently. It seems that no one can stop them, for if they could, the wars would be over and we would all live in peace and harmony. Then what about death? Are Atheists so sure that there is no heaven or hell after death? Have they conducted scientific research that has proven that heaven or hell definitely do not exist? Atheism is so full of questions and uncertianties, and requires man to adapt to everything life throws at them.

What about Christianity? Are we sure there is a God? Has it been proven beyond a doubt? Maybe not. But Christians have what is called faith. Man is not all powerful and will fail all the time. Then what about God? It seems that he has failed because the world we're living in isn't exactly a paradise right now. The point is that it is not God's fault, it's our fault. It is because of beliefs like Atheism that we are having problems today. It is because of sin. Athiests believe that because there is no God, they can do whatever they want. So then comes all the immorality like free sex. From loose sexual lifestyles come AIDS. From AIDS comes poverty (Africa is a prime example). And so on. You see what Athiesm has led us to? From that I can draw my conclusion that Christians have more confidence than atheists. We can't do it alone.

I would say Christians show more confidence because they actually have something to believe in and as a Christian, sometimes your faith gets rocked by things in this world, but you always come back to your faith because you know what God has done for you and what he will keep doing for you now and when you die. I personally think that something has happened in an athiest life to make them think they don't need any help, they say they don't worry and "act" as if they have all the confidence in the world, when they are really insecure with themselves because they've been hurt in the past.

The way you've worded your question, both groups have equal amounts of confidence in what they believe. A Christian will believe confidently that "we need God to help us," while the atheist trusts completely that "we can do it alone." Maybe you're trying to ask which group is right in what they believe. That answer lies completely in what you believe happens after you die. Again, both will be right. Christians will go to heaven, because they believe and trust in a free gift called salvation. The atheist will eternally die, because that is what he/she believes, and the Christian will also trust that God will honor that free choice.

Atheists

I would say that atheists are more confident. The reason is that an atheists embraces the question and a christian embraces the answer.

Once you realize that the QUESTION is the important part, the answer does not really matter. .... because, once a question is answered, there will always be another one to take its place.

Christians require answers and certainly. However, their answers are constantly being attacked by DIFFERENT answers that do not agree with them. Therefore, they are always on the defensive ... defending oneself is always stressful!!! ... Stress makes you loose confidence.

Christians do. We believe in God & believe God who is The Supreme Creator. From what u typed, it seems that Atheists are selfish. We're all flawed, so what good is it to soley rely on self instead of relying on The One and Only Perfect Being...God?

Happy Sabbath, by the way.

It's not that atheists know they're right, they just aren't willing to believe in anything without seeing it. Doubt is the exact opposite of confidence. As for doing it alone, there are certain things like world peace and absence of suffering that can't be accomplished by inperfect humans. Many atheists are more like agnostics who don't know what to believe.

when dealing with any group that is an ism or a belief then neither party is right or wrong, just set on their own personal convictions. confidence is a choice to close your options for different perspectives. in reality spirit has no such boundary to speak of and is free flowing. confidence can sometimes be overlooked as a weakness rather than a strength.

atheists seem to have more confidence on the outside, but it is really only individuality. christians rely on God to bring them through and give them confdence and to make sure every problem or action turns out okay. it depends on the way you look at it. it's not a matter of confidence, it's a matter of support and individuality. who knows, atheists may be stubborn or rebellious, or christians may be unindependent. personally, i believe that things are much better with God guiding us.
