People have fought long before there were any religions. Religion is now used, by fighters, as the "excuse" to fight. You cannot be religious and fight. The two are incompatible and contradictorary. Religion teaches people not to fight. Fighters by fighting cannot therefore follow their religion.

I will agree with the same GOD as far as Judaism and Christianity, but not Islam.
The biggest problem and reason for discord among religions is not caused by the religion as much as by the people that make up that religion.
Look at some of the answers that are given by those professing to be Christians and you will see inflammatory language and name calling.
So childish.

not all religions have the same God but some do such as Christianity and Islam, however, these religions teach you to accept other beliefs but people abuse this...that is why its impossible to answer your question, people who fight against other religions who believe in the same God are not fully following the teachings :)

you can relate this to terror acts by saying that those terrorists are not really following their own beliefs because their religion promotes peace, yet they are creating conflict - therefore, they arent really acting according to their religion...i hope i made sense and u understood what i was trying to say :)

Who's to say we do believe in the same God. I fail to see how the Muslim's Allah who has no son, but a prophet named Mohammed, could ever be equated with Christianity's one God in three Persons - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We do not believe in the same God, hence the differences.

They do believe in the same God, but Different Prophets, and different interpretations of the Word. Plus everyone knows that put 2 or more people in the same environment and you'll get a war. It's the way we are, unfortunately.

a little secret. allah is another war God. Jehova and allah are both war Gods.

God is within you not outside or out there, thats why many christians and muslims fight because they have so many misconceptions of God. God is not anti nature nor anti magic and both christians and muslims deny that they were created by magic therefore screwing up what makes them them.

Because it is the nature of religion to collect groups of people together and therefore isolate them from other groups. Each feels threatened by the other as they are both uncertain of their own beliefs deep down.

I'm sure there's a line in the Quran to the effect that a Muslim should treat the Christian and the Jew as his brother, as they all follow the will of Allah (God) in their own way. Maybe someone skipped that one.
