Buddhists and Muslims for example constantly work at achieving their spiritual goals. Christians just accept Jesus and go watch some football.

You're right, Muslims are constantly striving to convert or kill as many in the name of Allah as possible. That's a 40 hour a week job, at least.

Christianity, like all other religions, is a way of life just as much as it is a belief system. There are no simple answers to which is the most work, and which is the least. If followed properly, going by all the rules of the Bible, then it isn't a lazy religion. The problem is that many people use it as a badge of honor, but don't want to do the work to truly be Christian. Just like alot of people walk around going, "I'm Buddhist" when they're really posers. It's unfair to say that Christians accept Jesus and go watch football, just like it is unfair to say all Muslims blow up buildings. There will never be a perfect religious grouping of people, because humanity is flawed and there's always got to be someone to twist things up.

Not really- it just depends on what degree that you want to practice your religion. I know that everyone sees the Muslim countries on TV and and think that they are strict and very involved. That is true but so is Christianity as well! I know quite a few Christians, Jews, Muslims and a few Buddhists who are very involved with their place of worship and abide by the teachings of their good books and it's words. It is just a matter of how much the individual chooses to use what is written and nothing to do with laziness at all. Just because you rather sit home and watch football on Sunday versus going to church does not mean that the religion is lazy; it probably means that you may have become lazy or at least personally detached from following the teachings of what ever religion you once followed.

Okay, some Christian religions are lazier than others. Religion in general is a mixture of laziness and sactimoniety. So it's the best of both worlds. Get religion and keep it, and having kept it, you can spout it. If you spout your religion a lot that helps you keep obnoxious, and that way things will be more interesting. One thing I would like to see more of, is people praying out loud in elevators, in stores, and while standing on line at the bank -- actually I haven't seen anybody doing any of that stuff, and why not?
It seems to me people just don't bother spouting their religion, I mean in public places, I don't care if your religion is lazy or not, you ought to spout it.
What was your quesion again?

Indeed Not... Once a Christian accepts Jesus, the spiritual warfare starts. It is an ongoing walk of faith. As far as going and watching football... saying that you have accepted Jesus does not make the Christian...

You got to walk "The Walk" and talk the talk as the Lord taught.

Christian living is Not a football game!

Hello shizzle_a.d. :)

If that be so, then why has the Lord called me to be a missionary to serve others..

Each and everyday I walk, talk and share with others the Love of Jesus..as for TV..I do not watch it that often..when I do it is the Christian station..not football.. :)

The lazy mans religion, is sitting back watching this world and doing nothing to care for those that are hurting, physically, financially and spiritually.. :(

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ..

Only if you don't really practice the religion. A true Christian tries to help others and be very charitable with time and money, study the Bible, living as the Bible says (i.e. being forgiving, tolerant, charitable, loving, obedient to God and humble) This is not easy. Some want only to see one thing in the Bible that they just have to believe and they are saved but others believe and practice that they also have to keep the commandments and try to be a better person.

I agree totally with you, while in Islam you have to work very hard to achieve the highest grades in Paradise, in Christianity of Paul you will be saved for just having a simple cheap believe that Jesus son of Mary died for your sins and hence no worry do what ever sins you want and the world will be corrupted as it is today.

You are so right.

Being a true christian and a call to Holiness takes perseverance and work to do Gods will and work.

Jesus worked very hard ministering to people and so should His followers.

Laziness is a sin and that is found though the Book of Proverbs.

bot everybody accepts jesusand then goes to watch football. i don't even like football.

if those people that accept Jesus then blow him off really are that way, they aren't true christians. the true christians are the ones who give their lives to christ, surrender everything they have to live for Him. If people say they are christian, they are supposed to work towards coming closer to God (and if not, they are using God and aren't true sincere Chrisitans). it stinks that those peope give us a bad name, but hopefully they'll actually look into their religion more.

It's isn't just as easy as accepting Christ and moving on to watch football. We all go through life, and life as we know it has it's hard times, and by going through each event we find ourselves more and more in our religion. It lets us understand the power of God more.
Most people don't just accept Christ and say "Oh thats nice." They take a whole lifetime to understand him, love him, and understand life.
No religion is a lazy religion.
