I drive professionally and 9 out of 10 times when I'm cut off, someone runs a stop sign or light or other extremely stupid "stuff" on the road it is a woman. I would gladly give up my D.L. if it meant so would all the other stupid "B's". What do you think?

My experience has actually been the exact opposite of yours, and I've been driving for exactly 37 years as of today and have about 1.7 million miles under my belt.

While I have seen inattentive or careless driving by women (putting on makeup is my pet peeve) the vast majority of aggressive and downright dangerous driving has been males in general, and adolescent males in particular.

And yes, I was guilty of some of that in my early years but have mellowed out quite a bit since then. I've been at-fault accident and conviction free since 1976.

While it sounds good, I think the real reason maybe that women are violating so many road rules is that instead of paying attention to the road, they are distracted by putting their make-up on in the car or talking on the cell phone. So, honestly, I think maybe that's where the rules need to be changed. That if someone is caught violating a rule or causing an accident due to cell phone use or primping, that the fines should be more severe. Just a thought.

9 times out of 10 I bet its a younger woman. I am a woman driver and I agree with you. I won't give up my D.L. They tailgate worse then men too. I love it when they are so close to my truck that I can't see their whole car. I down shift and let them almost run under me it tends to make them back off some :)

I can't believe a woman is making this comment. All of us on the road has made mistakes before, most of the time unintentional i hope. I just think we need to pay more attention to driving and less to other distractions, such as the cell phone or getting to work or somewhere else on time. By the way my wife lost her vision and cannot drive and it is a real pain, she cannot even do any shopping by herself or go see her friends.

No, I don't. I have been cut off numerous times by men, more times than women. I think it is an individual thing. And if you see a car with a huge ol' tail pipe, you better be ready to get cut off. THOSE are the people who should get their licenses revoked.

I think you are trying to brand an entire gender just on the case of some of your own personal bad experiences.

It is like calling Jewish people cheap or Native Americana's alcoholics. Bad move.

I think you should drive defensively and lay off the caffeine while accepting the fact that all of us aren't as proficient or experienced at driving as you are.

I think you should cool off. There are tons of male idiots with DLs out there. Take a break, relax.
