I like to use a variety of spinners and grubs. They work very well. Sometimes drifting worm on the bottom with a sinker or on the surface with out the sinker works very well too! But if that doesn't satisfy you then try using a variety of hand tied flies which you can pratically get at any baitshop or some stores like walmart or meijers. The key is "having light line (6 to 8 pound line) and using small spinners and grubs." Not to mention a good reel with a great drag and good pole. Experiment! Hope this will bring a little spark to catching those brooks.

brook trout are the smallest of the trout species, so you need to use smaller lures. Spinners seem to work best for me. And contrary to their name, you're more likely to find them in a lake rather than a small brook. Keep in mind they're cold water fish, so you're probably going to have to hike up to the higher altitude mountain lakes to find them.

You go to where you know the Trout is. Then throw your bait in the water until you feel a bite. Set the hook and reel in.
