So I met this guy who is totally cool and really hot, then one issue I am having is that I really enjoy smoking pot and he can't stand it, to the point where he won't hang out with me if i get stoned, and its not like i am new at this it doesn't make me a different person, just slower and more easily amused. What should i do here?

Give up the pot, or lose the guy. If it doesn't work out with the guy, you can always go back to frying your brain later. Think down the road a bit...
Your with some friends who say "did you hear about "so and so," I hear he's getting married/got a great new job/promotion/bought a house/is an excellent father/ etc. etc etc. Hey, why didn't it work out with you two?"
You- "he couldn't stand me smoking pot, so I chose pot over a great guy. Oh well, at least I've go this fancy trailer park to come home to!"

Well, this guy should realize how you feel and if he feels the same about you, love you no matter what. Don't change who you are because said guy doen't like the fact that you smoke pot. He cannot change you and if he expects that, what other problems is he gonna have with you down the road?

if that is your preference and you like doing and don't love him enough to give to give up give him up and find someone who agrees and is on the same level as you this is a new day and age and there are a lot of people out there that don't have a problem with pot it would be the same as you finding someone that did not drink and you did if that is what you choose to do don't let anyone change who you are.

I had a girlfriend try that with me, the old quit smoking pot and we can date. I told her this is who I am like it or leave it. That was 2 years ago ,we are still together, and she even admits she is glad she didn't try and change me.

Give up the drugs. Chances are there will be several people in and out of your life because you have a bad, and illegal if you are in the US, habit. Seems to me you'd be tired of living life in a fog.

if you like this guy and he likes you... try everything you can to make it work if that mean giving up the pot thean Im sorry sweety that you have to give it up. you got to make the choice.
