...Yes. It is one of the most painful experiences you will have in life. However, there are now many groups out there that help families deal with this loss. Talking to others who have been through it, or understand it, is an important part of the grieving process. Find a group or therapist to help you. Don't try to do it alone. And don't try to anesthetize the pain with alcohol or drugs (legal or illegal). It only prolongs the process.

When people approach you and want to discuss your child's death, remember that most of them want to help but many just don't know what to say. If you feel like talking about it with them, do. If you don't feel like talking about it with them, don't.

I wish you peace.

When my mom had her first son, she was in a group home and they only let her see him like three times and them she found out he died. He was only a few months old. That was 18 years ago and she still lights a candle for him on his birthday and for big holidays.

yes.my mom was 21 when my older sister died at only 10 days old because the nurse took her sweet time to get to my moms room when she went into labor and she dropped and crimped her cord and was born brain dead. but if that never happened i wouldn't be here because my mom got pregnant a month later with me. but its still pretty sad
