I have an account with a finance company who usually report to equifax. When I refinanced this account back in february 2006 this is not reported. This is an old trade line and I need it for scoring and credit history purposes. Can anyone advise me in this situation

I agree, contact the finance company and request that they report to not only Equifax but to all three bureaus.

It has been my experience that you will need to contact the company that you have an account with and let them know that you want them to report to the credit bureau. At that time they will let you know if they will or not. Good luck it never worked for me.

Contact Equifax at www.equifax.com. Notify them of the change, they should validate and update thier system without charging you.
