A man or a woman who acts as a medium or fortuneteller shall be put to death by stoning; they have no one but themselves to blame for their death. (Leviticus 20:27 NAB)

Well, I read tarot cards so that probably counts. It's amazing how many of my clients are christians. They should definitely read their own book, lol.

Your question is really more of a statement than a question.

To answer it - No - I do not read horoscopes.

I don't read them because they are superstitious and a pointless waste of time. They are not supported by logic or scientific reasoning.

You quoted 'Leviticus' in your commentary. I don't know that I can accept this as a source of logic and reason, but I respect that some people take it as a matter of 'faith' and therefore question no further.

I should therefore mention that it is also an abomination in the same story to eat shrimp. Thus, if you or any of your relatives have ever eaten cold shrimp at a buffet - then ye have committed an abomination - clams I suspect are also an abomination.

Read for yourself:

Leviticus 11:9-12 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
Public Domain

9These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.

10And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:

11They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.

12Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

I encourage you to extend your mind, a gift from God, to include other sources of knowledge and information beyond bible chapters. The natural world is full of wonders which can not be explored or appreciated simply by blind reliance on faith and proverbs.

Good luck with life - a journey that will hopefully bring you into contact with diverse peoples and points of view that you will find enriching both intellectually and spiritually.

he just don't read horoscope. In fact he studied it indeptly so that he has the technical knowledge to attack it since it is a major "competitor" of the church. But instead, he became a staunch defender of it. His, name, St. Thomas Aquinas.
As a matter of fact, what authenticate the bible is the discovery of manuscript known as the dead sea scroll preserved in earthen jars in a cave. The other manuscripts found there were about astrology. Why in the world would they keep it safe with the bible if it is not true.?
Be discreet, astrology is different from fortune telling and divinations using cards or whatever tools there is. However, to use astrology for divination is not appropriate, but to make forecast is a different matter.

You must be a very lonely, confused, angry person,I feel sorry for you,in one question you speak of how people are unfairly judged by Christians, in the next you become one.You only wish it could be that easy to rid the world of the different! It's not. I still hope the Gods & Goddesses are smiling down on you,you need it now more than before.

Yeah i read horoscopes, and predict outcomes for people's lives very accurately. This was a way of early man enforcing the communistic ways of the christian cult by discrediting and threatinging punishment for those who went against the common views

I, too, am of a Christian denomination. I do read my horoscope, but just for fun - and sometimes to see if what happens on a certain day actually resembles what the horoscope said. It is rare that the two coincide.

My relationship with Jesus is genuine. I am honest, loyal, caring giving, but in no way as perfect as Jesus, therefore I do not want to begin berating anyone nor have anyone in turn berate me.

Let all who bear witness to me be saved.

I am not a fortune teller, nor a vigilante.

Let the man who hath no sin cast the first stone.

Maybe, you should make yourself the perfect christian then and only then should you worry and judge anyone else.
I think God and Jesus have that under control.
God bless.

I agree in the verse in the bible. A few years ago I did read my horoscope just for fun, until I learned practice in astrology is satanic. Praise God, I stopped that behavior .

You're not going to do any work tomorrow, are you? Historically, they weren't talking about going to your paying job; they meant ANY work. If you wash the dishes tomorrow, I hope you're ready to meet your demise. You'll have no one to blame for your death but yourself.
