By the way, I wasn't asking for a travel guide of your religion. That's not the question.

Yes I like that.
You see, I will tell a story, which goes with your idea.

Our company put a tender to buy some items, one rep. came to me and was about to present his offer, but he started to talk about the other competitors,in specific, one of them, and he went on explaining to me how bad the product of that company was...So I told him, that his company it out of the competition, he was surprised, ans asked why... I told him you should tell me what is good about your product, I will figure out the drawback of the others, you should have done that....

People attack other peoples' religions because they don't like what is different and what contradicts what they themselves believe. People don't stand up for their own religions, or at least provide realistic evidence to support their version of the Truth, because all religion is created by the mind of man. They believe whole-heartedly that the Great Creator in the Sky came down and told so-and-so that this is the one true church of God, follow me or burn in Hell for all eternity. The problem is, so-and-so made the whole thing up, or his story of how he came up with a philosophy on how to live a better life was blown out of proportion until he became some kind of almighty prophet or demigod.

the way people were raised. most people probably don't understand the religions they are speaking out against in the first place. there are so many misconceptions regarding religions and stereotypes that we grow up believing they are all true without ever really trying to find the truth. than you have the aethists in the world that are trying to make it so that the rest of us can't practice our religion. we jsut need to be more accepting of what other people believe and if it doesn't fit in with our beliefs ignore it instead of trying to change it

Well, that's not entirely true--some people do speak out for their own religions--but while criticizing everyone else's.

This is the most intelligent question I have ever seen in this category, and more people should be thinking this way.

Because all too many people have no idea what the teachings of their religion are. Most people who claim to be a particular religion do so because they are simply following what their parents did. This is not "faith" or "belief." It's nothing more than tradition.

It's a lame form of trying to communicate. They just don't have the intelligence or the humility to ask another person about their religion, they just start striking out against it.

Children with severe speech delay initiate 'play' by pushing or shoving and sometimes hitting, because they have the inability of speech and social finesse to engage another child in play.

Maybe they think that an attack is the best way to suppress their competitors. Or maybe they don't have anything about their religion that they find satisfying enough in their personal lives that sets them on fire to tell other people about it.

I don't ask many questions here but when it's appropriate to an answer I always love to tell people about the life changing power that comes through faith in Jesus!

It is always easier to speak out about what you perceive to be wrong than it is you for you to stand up for your own beliefs. Most of the ones who point the finger of blame at others really don't have enough understand of their own beliefs to define them with out attacking others first.

See I proclaim a faith in Jesus Christ, and by doing so I must live by the faith I proclaim. Therefore I must know something about it first, Right???? But the simple fact is many who claim what I claim don't take the time to learn what they claim and walk the walk of faith. The more I learn about the teachings of Jesus the more I learn that the things I had been told were wrong. It is not about condemning others but judging myself and living up to the model that Jesus gave.

If I am to be real then I start by building the relationship, and the faith I claim. By my actions then others will know. See it is my actions that speak louder than anything I could ever say, and my actions will either condemn me or make me believable.

To live by example not by words, not to condemn but to have compassion. Which one of these will others find real.

The Bible commands us to preach the gospel to all nations of the world. That would include those who are atheists;worship Satan, pagan idols and deities and the ones who never heard of God and/or his son,Jesus Christ. They want to point out that there is another life after we die,Jesus is the only way to heaven!!
The purpose is save souls and bring people to Christ, but sometimes the methods used can be counterproductive.

Religion is a personal thing, and now there are laws in the workplace that make it offensive for someone to shove their religion down other people's throats. For example, someone is trying to preach the bible to you at your work. That is no longer acceptable in the workplace, especially if you don't care to hear it!

Paganism = A group of contemporary religions based on Nature worship & ancient indigenous traditions, especially those of Pre-Christian Europe.Pagan is a latin term meaning "country-dweller".In the early days of Christianity, which was largely a religion of cities, pagan was applied to those who adhered to their old religious beliefs. As the Christian Church worked to eradicate opposition from heretics in the Middle Ages & Renaissance, pagan became a derogatory term.It implied that one was unsophisticated & uneducated, and worshipped false Gods.
In contemparary times,Pagan is applied primarely to traditions springing from European roots, but also is applied to non-European religions that do not recongize a monotheistic god.
Paganism flowered in the 1960's along w/ witchcraft, aided by liberal intrests in feminism,Goddess spirituallity, ecology,Gaia,New Age spirituallity and a desire for personal transdendant experience.
Three principles reflect the core beliefs of many pagans(myself included)..........
1.Love & kinship w/ nature.Pagans do not seek to dominate nature, but live in harmony w/ it,revering the life force & the eternal cycle of birth-death-rebirth.Divinity is immanent in the realm of nature,as it is in all things in creation. The planet has it's own living consciousness. The cycles of nature are celebrated in seasonal festivals.Paganism is especially a "green" religion, many Pagans are environmental activists.
2.The Pagan ethic "If it harm none,do what thou wilt".It places responsability on the individual to develop self-knowladge & truth & express it in harmony w/ all things.
3.The divine masculine & feminine.Divine oneness is expressed in the divine masculine & feminine, which engage in an eternal cosmic dance of creation.Pagans honor the "totality of divine reality",which transends gender & does not suppress either male or female aspect of Deity. The aspects of Deity, expressed through many gods & goddesses, are real beings who share the world w/ human beings. Most Pagan also beleive in the "threefold effect",which holds that an individual's actions are returned to him or her magnified three times.Rites of passage are an important part of Paganism. Many, but not all, Pagans practise magic, most beleive in some kind of reincarnation.
There are several dominant traditions within Paganism, but as a whole the religion has grown incressingly eclectic.Witchcraft is the largest tradition among others are.....Druidry,Heathenism,Men's & Women's mytery traditions & Shamanism. Oh,yes,& Paganism is represented at international congresses of relgions.
This is my religion & I have spoken out.I told you mine, now tell me yours.
