I'm saying this from a non christian point of view and not that of a christian hater either .. just a person seeing things as it is
and if something isn't feeling right for you then take a step back and ask why ... what is it you feel hypocritical about ?
you know you are a person first and foremost and sometimes in our lives we change .. things around us change .. we evolve and grow as a person and need more out of life
now i know some Christians are gonna say have faith , ask god , stay strong etc but you know its OK if you need to take time out from it all to observe what you want in life
be like a child and see the world through a child's eyes ... see things for the first time without influence and begin to questions .. what is life ? what do you want ? and then you may have a better idea what do do from here on
i wish you well and love to you xxx

Perhaps its because you are preaching something that those of the same belief are interested in. Your true spirit know's better and is ready to learn more of what reality is about. Religion is used by those who need to control the masses. If you truly follow and believe in what you are preaching then you are no hypocrite, but if there are doubts within your soul, then you may wanna see where those doubts are trying to lead you, if you don't find anything better you may always go back to what you believe. Good luck!

I'm happy you are open with that problem, it tells me you are a person that wants to do right.
Let me say this, Jesus taught people or I should say Teaching people, preaching is just what it means if it does not have some teaching subjects. This is to let the people know something new or refresh their thing processes. Helping them see from the Bible scriptures what they have to do to get right with God.
Sermons are just what they are...it can be sometimes from your point of view if it does not have scripture proving your points.
One last thing, Your sermons...don't tickle your audiences ears, what they want to hear, make it real from Gods word, THE HOLY BIBLE, my you have success, God bless you, and pray to God for help, be open with him.

Being able to touch/help people is a wonderful thing and shouldn't be taken lightly. Talk to your superiors about how your feeling. You may just need to take a break/sabatical. Possible look at branching out and using your skills in new areas. We all have questions of faith, some consider these events to be test from above.

2 Timothy 4:1 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. 5 As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
1 Timothy 4:12 Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. 13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching. 14 Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you. 15 Practice these things, devote yourself to them, so that all may see your progress. 16 Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.
Don't forget about the second part of this message about being an example. If you aren't walking the walk then you shouldn't be talking the talk.

Go on a spiritual retreat by yourself and spend some alone time with God. Converse with Him and He will make His plan known to you. And if the answer is to stop, just remember that there are other ways to serve and it doesn't mean you have failed Him if you stop leading Worship.
It could also just be simple job burn out. I work in customer service and there are days where I feel like I am just going through the motions and I don't care if someone is happy or not just as long as I finish the call without them yelling or wanting to speak to someone above me. Not that our jobs are that similar but getting worn out from work is getting worn out from work.

Yes, give up preaching. That emptiness is a sign of meaninglessness for you. Unless your heart is aligned with your words, you will never be speaking truth. This may be temporary or permanent, I cannot say. Allow yourself time to reconnect with your faith. Once you do, your answers will be there. Best wishes.

Why not stop "preaching" the bible.
Obviously your a christian, you've answered his call.
Start living the word, everyday, you bring more people to him that way.
Smile, be helpful, non judging. Treat everyone, YES EVERYONE with your gift of unprejudiced and friendship.
Talk better yet, listen first. You would be amazed at what types of people the lord will bless you with to help you get stronger.
Be genuine to yourself it radiates.
Do not ever give up. Think about your other option. Come on.

There's nothing Satan would like to do more than to cause a believer to doubt their faith in God.
Nonbelievers are a dime a dozen to the great deceiver (chump change), but to cause a Christian into losing faith really puts the sprinkles on his cupcake.
Believing in and having faith in God doesn't keep the devil from his deceptive attacks and lies, however we've been given the tools and information to fight back.
As you know, we're all given free will to decide, so choose wisely!
