Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel. (Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT)

Yeah, sure, but I lost my skeptic hunting permit about two thousand years ago! : )

No, Deuteronomy is part of the Law, and was written as a treaty between God and Israel. This is known as the OLD covenant. But Christians signed the NEW covenant, through the blood of Christ. So the question is null and void.

Maybe you should ask a Jewish person from a remote part of the Middle East to kill you if you so wish.

So, no, I won't kill you, but I DO think that you need to be smacked upside your head with a few scholarly books.

I hope that I've helped clear things up for you! Have a nice day!

I spent 10 minutes writing an answer to your other Bible quote, and your question got removed!!

My basic opinion is: The Bible is not the literal word of God. If you follow the Bible as if it IS literally from God, then it becomes easy to exclude/judge others because of their religion, sexual preference, gender, etc.

I am a Christian who struggles with The Bible. I do, however, find it to at times be a valuable means to connect with the loving, compassionate, forgiving God I believe in.

Peace.

Uhm no, this is not Israel.

Besides that, Christians believe in the do not judege lest ye be judged doctrine. God will judge you when you die.
