You have to be careful when you ask this question because over half of the answerer's have given you sites to anti-Mormon sites that give leading and false info. They take half truths and twist them into something horrible and horrendous.

Here is a site to our Basic Beliefs
http://www.mormon.org/

If that doesn't help then here is another official site with further info
http://www.lds.org/

Here are a couple of sites that will clarify all the non-sense and anti-Mormon stuff that is on here in relation to the other links that are false sites that serve the anti-Mormons purposes.

Mormons beliefs and Christian belief are not remotely the same. Mormons believe in a completely different Jesus than the Bible teaches. They believe that God is married to the “Mother” and that Jesus and the Devil are brothers. They believe something along the lines that a "good" Mormon men will basically have their own personal planets and a harem of women after they die. Mormons do not believe the essentials of the Christian faith but have a clever counterfeit version that looks genuine to the naïve and unwary.

The Book of Mormon has been proven to be a false document written by men. The hundreds of fulfilled prophesies in the Bible prove that the Bible was given solely by God through chosen men and that men could not possibly have written it themselves.

The Mormon Church generally believes the same myths as most Christians, except they add a whole extra collection of stories called "The Book of Mormon" about Jesus' trip to America. LOL

Here's the "annotated" version:

Just as a little aside, you will be perfectly compatible as long as neither of you take any of this bunkum seriously!

Read the Book of Mormon. It teaches that all who are not Mormon belong to the Church of Satan. And there is a wealth of other crazinesses in it as well. It is one of the fastest growing cults in the world.

Well, you would have a problem if you tried marrying her. They go into a special room of the temple for marriage, and only Mormons who have performed cerain actions (I am not Mormon, I have a friend who told me about it) can enter. He told me that her family(not Mormon) and some of his siblings couldn't see the actual ceremony, so they held a second ceremony for her family and his non Mormon friends. He also said though that they don't marry for 'till death do us part. Their ceremony says for all eternity. So, other than that, they don't believe in non-medicinal drugs of any kind, no alcohol or caffeine....beyond that not sure, not much else came up with my friend.

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints.
1 We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
2 We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.
3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
4 We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
5 We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
6 We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists. so forth.
7 We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
8 We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
9 We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
10 We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
12 We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

I don't think that the entire church doctrine could be wapped up in one e-mail. It is a great church with many different elements. LDS.org is a great website that is offical and has many different facts about the church. good luck i bet she is a great girl, and has that unexplainable glow that the church can give people.

It is a Christian religion. Here is a list of their basic beliefs:

1 We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.

2 We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.

(See Priesthood Organization home page)

6 We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.

7 We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth. (See Gifts of the Spirit)

(See Prayer, Fasting, and Revelation home page)

10 We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory. (See Second Coming of Jesus Christ home page)

11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may. (See Politics: Political Teachings; Tolerance)

12 We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law. (See Teachings About Law home page)

13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul--We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

It must be repeated that “these articles are not and were not intended to be a complete and final exposition of beliefs…” [6] The articles do not discuss many facets of Latter-day Saint belief such as “celestial marriage, salvation for the dead, temple work in all its phases, the resurrection, and degrees of glory in the eternal worlds.” [7] Yet, they still serve as a useful introduction to Latter-day Saint beliefs.
