Islam is the only religion of the ONE and only true God since Adam to the last day. Adam, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus son of Mary are considered Muslims and Mohammad (PBUT all) is the final prophet of Islam. I don't want to confuse you but this what we believe, and any person who reject any one of those prophets as if he rejected them all. Back to your questions Islam is a religion and it is perfect, but Muslims are just followers who may be weak as in today (don't represent Islam) and superior as the first generation Muslims:
