why to people rape children? 6-7 years old?

My husbands ex is keeping a secret! she was with a bad man!
I just found out my step daughter was raped at 7 years old!! how can people be so sick? there all so many, no offence sluts and easy sex, why touch a small child? they should be put to death!!

he is in prison now.

the child lives with her mom right now. bad place.

Absolutely they should be put to death and quickly. Child rapes are on the rise because of the access to porn. Porn is easily accessed thru the Internet, movies, even channels. As people get deeper and deeper in this addiction they look for more and more biz are things to excite them. In extreme, but more and more common, cases this includes truly evil acts like hurting children. Sex is everywhere you look into today's society. Just look at the video games and comic books your kids have. Warn your kids about the dangers of porn and sexual deviance and speak out against society's "do anything that feels good" attitude.

I'm sorry that happened to your step daughter. There are many nasty, ugly people out there. I really think that people like rapists and murderers (and others) get the death penalty. This may not deter crime, but at least those get the death penalty won't hurt someone else. These sick people can't be helped.... I hope your step daughter is getting help.

Complete lack of boundaries. This is why it is so important to instill empathy in our children BEFORE they grow up to be child molesters. I personally believe that it's not the law, jail, etc that stops child molesters. it's a combination of boundaries (how far can i go to get what i want?) and empathy (how will this child, his/her parents, the community feel if i follow my desires?). and then there's addictive behaviour, but i'm not sure that enters into this question. My final answer is, i'm very sorry for your step-daughter. Being molested steals her childhood. it creates a wound that never heals.
