Do something little each day----go take a walk outside, go to the librarycheck out a book, wave to a neighbor. You need to get back out into the community in a comfortable way. I think that the more you are outside (even sitting on your porch/deck relaxing), the better you feel.

I say weigh the pros and cons. There is a price to pay to stay by yourself, and obviously you have a problem with it and you feel an inner need to get out b/c you are questioning it. So I say give yourself a time line to get out and do things differently regardless of how odd it feels at first and if you don't like it after a few months of trying you can have the rest of your life to enjoy being solitary. However, if you do like it when you get out more then that's great. I just think its important to try so you don't regret it years later. Also, remember its a process don't give up after one bad experience even extroverts have bad days!

do you want to come out? or are you perfectly happy the way you are? b/c if it doesn't bother you, then I wouldn't change... but if you're lonely, there are tons of support groups for people with social anxieties, you obviously have a computer so find one!!!
and good luck... i also enjoy being a home body for most of the time.. so you're not alone!

I use the "worst scenario" rule.... When you go out what is the worst that can happen? Being laughed at..., meeting a friend?
You may want to ask yourself what you are afraid of. ..Good luck!

I suggest you see a therapist to assist you with this. If you want to find groups try www.craigslist.org and see if there is something that interests you

do not worry about your aggressive nature. it is normal and good to accept your anger. be yourself and do not be afraid of your power. by restraining your power, you hurt no one but yourself.

btw, this is an enormous problem for many. you are not alone.
