When i question God's obvious lack of giving unconditionally love, i get accused of 'making God too human'.

When i refer to God's obvious arrogance in Him wanting us to worship him, i'm told that i 'make God too human again'

If God can have no "bad" human feelings, why is He refered to so many times in having "good" human feelings? Like in God loves, God blesses, God cares, God listens, etc, etc, etc ?

just wondering, because i truly don't get it.

Humans are limited in our understanding of God, and limited by our language. While people of faith look to scripture as a source of divine revelation it is not the sole source. People of faith also look to personal experience and tradition. So in describing the human experience of the divine, we project our human characteristics on to God.
Our language and expression of God is mostly metaphor. We affirm certain attributes or characteristics of God's nature as being like _______. The most common is God is like a Father. God is not actually a father, or an old man with a beard, or even a man, but this is a description many people find familiar and comforting.
The Hebrew scriptures are full of many images and metaphors for God, beyond the traditional male image. The prophets especially used a variety of images to describe God. God is like a mother bear with her cubs, God is like a mother with her child holding the child's hands as the child learns to walk, God is like a mother hen sheltering her chicks. Hosea likens God to a cuckolded husband, whose wife prostitutes herself.
Our human tendency is t o create God in our image. As long as people continue to try to comprehend God there will be descriptions of God that are full of depth and mystery, as well as all too human projections of who God is.

As humans we understand the human condition. We do not understand very well how animals feel or think as a rule. And we do not understand God unless He communicates to us in human terms. Consider an example; if a scientist is explaining E=MC2 to a college class and to a first grade class, would he use the same terms and illustrations? Would he sound the same? So God does the same thing; He communicates with us so we can understand.

God is not human but when we describe Him we use human terms and characteristics because that is our frame of reference. There are "bad" human feelings attributed to God as well (jealous, angry, etc) but again you must remember that these come from our human frame of reference. As humans we have no other way to describe God but the bottom line is that God is NOT human and therefore our descriptions of Him (using human terms) fall woefully short of being accurate.

God is pure mystery and indescribable. Christians use human terms because God is self revealing in those terms.

Also, we are created in God's image. The best part of human life is a reflection of God.
Thats the way it goes. God is good. People are responsible for sin and evil. If people are good then it is a gift from God.
Its very different from modern thinking which says "me! me! me!"

You are talking to people who do not understand God at all. Sounds like you are starting to understand God a lot better than your friends. I suggest you read the course in miracles. It is like an antidote for the lies that have been told about our loving source. Love and blessings.

We humans do not truly understand love. You see Jesus Christ is GOD. He gave up the mantleship as God to become human. To experience every aspect of humanity, birth, growing up, temptations, just as we all do. The diferrence is he didn"t give in. He willingly died sinless, but took on our sin so we could be forgiven.....No greater love is there than one who willingly dies to save another. Mankinds problem is we continue to sacrafice him. It is a common mistake to think that God is only good.
I've said this before, I'll have to say it a million times, God is ALL, good and bad.

GOD is GOOD. He is EVERYTHING THAT IS GOOD, AND TRUE, AND PURE. I WORSHIP HIM, BECAUSE MY SPIRIT CRAVES TO BE RIGHT WITH HIM IN ALL I DO.

I am in NO MEANS, PERFECT. But, He makes WANT to strive to be that way, when I am standing in front of Him on Judgement Day.

Christ, in my heart, reminds me that GOD IS GOOD.

Whoever you are hanging with, that puts down God's very being---you don't need to be around,...unless that person is YOU........

God sent His son, Jesus, to carry all our sins to the cross. He suffered, and bled, and died for us, carrying ALL our sins on His shoulders( the ones we commit or have committed), so that we can go to God in prayer, asking anything we will, in Jesus' name (forgiveness, giving thanks, asking what we need ,and telling Him how much we love Him).

Did it ever occur to you that these feelings are Godly feelings and not Human feelings? After all God is our creator. He is eternal and we were made in His likeness.

If you would like you can certainly write me.

Good/bad feelings:
God is ONLY good no bad, so he cannot have "bad" feelings. He has shown us love by sacrificing his only son for us.

Why...human characteristics:

Because we as humans cannot truly comprehend him in all his glory and magnificence, we must use our inadequate human terms to understand.
