"Fructose is sugar.

They just don't want people to realize there's so much sugar. "Coke is actually really healthy because they use fructose instead of sugar."

No I didn't notice that.

Fructose is the naturally occuring sweetner found in fruits. High Fructose corn syrup comes from corn. Both can cause your blood sugar to rise.

Websters Dictionary :fructose,a very sweet sugar occuring in honey and many fruits.

Corn based fructose is cheaper in America, so Coke made an adjustment to the recipe in the 80's

However, coke chooses to keep the original sucrose recipe in Latin America, South America and Mexico.

Actually, they started using "Fructose and/or sugar". And yes, fructoce is a TYPE of sugar, but most people, by common agreement, are referring to sucrose, or common table sugar, when they say sugar.

It hasn't been nearly as good since, has it?

Of course, now it's JUST fructose. But that's a recent change.

Fructose is the simple sugar in plants. It's actually not any worse for you. It does break down differently though. It doesn't matter to me, I still prefer any Coke to Pepsi.

I am convinced that the whole new coke fiasco, was a way to try to trick seasoned drinkers into thinking that classic coke was the same as it was before new coke came out.

They ended up giving us an inferior product and expected us not to know the difference. They were wrong.

Ever since new coke came out, I lost interest
