I as a Catholic have no problem with evolution but I wonder if we all evolved from other entirely different species such as apes where are the thousands of fossils showing the steps of evolution? Seems to me minor changes occur but not major. Mammoth to elephant sure, Dinosaur to dog, I don't think so.

I didn't mean to imply I believed in evolution I am just saying if somehow they proved it I would still believe that God did it.

I would add that all "fossils" were dated with questionable methods such as Carbond dating and circular dating but that is for another question.

By the way there is a big difference between Macro evolution and Micro evolution.

Link them all together and fill in all the empty blanks and you will be the first in history to ever do so. There is not 100% proof of evolution, it has never been 100% proven (that's Fact). It is theory only.
That doesn't mean that these creatures never existed but we don't know time line for sure and we can't prove that things evolved in such these ways. We just don't have all the proof.
If you can then you will be the first.
I welcome it. Prove it all.

Fossils are all over the place; well, if you know what to look for. Most of them are just not big or flashy.
The problem is finding the fossil(s) you are looking for. There are very specific conditions that must occur for the remains of a critter to become fossilized. Which means that if a critter lived in an environment that was not conducive to preserving the remains; you are not going to get very many fossils of that creature. So, you are throwing the dice already as to if something gets preserved. This means that the more numerous any given creature was, the higher the chances of us finding fossilized remains of that species.
The next big hurdle is then finding what does get fossilized. The older the creature, the older the rock bed that it is preserved in. Over time, lots of destructive forces can act upon these beds, and therefore, the fossils they may contain. They can be eroded away, buried under hundreds of feet rock, metamorphosed though a wide variety of means; the list goes on.
So, let's recap. Not all critters are fossilized. Those that are, stand a decent chance of getting destroyed before we, humans, can find them or are buried so deep that we would have to luck onto them. Finally, if a species was not wide spread and/or lived over a long geological time, the chances get even smaller.
NOW, with this said, the fossil evidence we do have is astoundingly good at demonstrating the theory of evolution. And it gets better every year with new finds. The problem in regular people seeing this is that a lot of evidence is demonstrated with "non-flashy" fossils. People think fossils they think big dinosaurs. But that is just such a small, small, small subset of the fossil records. We have extensive micro-fossil records that have been well studied; but these little guys just don't make CNN.
But the simple truth here is that we will never have a fossil sample of every creature that ever walked, swam or flew on this planet in the last 2 billion years or so. So we will never be able to show the evolutionary path of every single creature that ever existed in the grand detail that many demand be shown.
EDIT:
FWIW: I am an active Lutheran AND a geologist. I have never understood why large segments of Christians seem to equate evolution to a lack in religious belief. First off, Jesus never went into evolution in the Gospels. Second, the "accepted" religious age of the Earth that most fundamentalist Christians subscribe to is not from the bible at all. It was "calculated" by a Catholic Bishop back in the 1600's who's name escapes me.

Me, I believe that God started this whole show we call the Universe. When he did, he created all the scientific laws of said universe; including the process of natural evolution. He knew from the get go what he wanted and set the universe in motion to get just that.

Debra, there are millions of fossils on this earth. Every piece of coal dug from the ground is fossilised vegetation. When you talk about the evulotion of humans, its a bit diffferent, because our ancestors were mosty limited to one area, Africa, and conditions have to be just right for a fossilisation to occur. You say mammoth to elephant sure... well that's not completly accurate because Mammoths were a different species, but scientists are pretty sure that Elephants and Mammoths had a common ancestor. When you say Dinosaur to Dog, I dont think so, you are not taking into account the millions of years of evolution that has occurred. In fact dogs and humans have a common Ancestor in a small warm blooded shrew like creature, that lived arond the time of the dinosaurs.
Like you I'm a Christian but I have no problem with evolution being a sound theory of development. To read Genesis as the literal creation is just plain stupid.

You don't need fossils to prove that some form of evolution exists. Look at the different kinds of dogs and cats, and other animals on this planet that have been changed because of the environment.
Also, as a Christian, you believe that God created Adam and Eve. Then you would have to believe that Man too has evolved since there are blacks, whites, asians and midgets.
To me, that is where "evolution" ends. Musuems are full of fossils that show animals that used to exist, but none of those fossils are of transitory animals. People and animals may have been changed because of their environment, but they always remained what the were.
I am seen answers where people say, "hey, just read this passage or that passage". These people are what the bible refers to as sheep. There is nothing wrong with that. The world is made up mostly of sheep. But there are also sheppards. Those are the people that know enough to guide sheep that are led astray. It starts by asking intelligent questions, which is what you did. There are no quick answers, so keep searching.

There are no fossils that prove evolution. Everyone keeps talking about the fossil record. All the fossil record says is that a lot of animals died at one time. These fossils do not have a date stamped on them and they do not talk. They just lay in the ground til some one digs them up. Then after all the analysis are done all we know is that something died. We do not know when, or how, or if that animal had offspring. We do not know. There no transitional or intermediate fossils to date. Evolution is a poor theory with no support in science. It should be thrown out. But we have to hold on to it because there can not be a God, and if he is not real then we were not created, so we are stuck in this stupid ditch with no way out.

Sweetie, you need not waste your time on things like this. You need to make sure you know where you are going when you leave this earth. Accept Christ as your savior today as the one who died for your sins and ask Him to forgive you of those sins, so you can recieve salvation through the blood of Jesus. I was once a catholic and I know that they do not teach salvation.
John 3:16-18
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Sweetie, are you saved? IF your not, Invite Jesus into your heart and life today. God bless you

It takes millions and millions of years to see these changes. Mammoths disappeared much more recently in time than when the dinosaurs roamed.

As all Christians know all the proof evolutionists have is some old chicken bones that have been scientifically enhanced with chemicals to make them swell to enormous size and then they have been strategically buried in the ground to fool everyone. (LOL)

You're talking about Transitional Fossils. Yes, they are kept hidden away, in secret temples of esoteric learning. We call them "Museums".
If you're too frightened to enter one of these frightening places, here are a few links for you to click.
Hopefully they won't be too complicated for you...
